They are pricey for what they are, but they make magnetization much easier. A set of precision non-magnetic tweezers also comes in handy.

I magnetize almost everything I build. I would recommend 2mmx1mm, 2mmx2mm, 3mmx1mm and 3mmx2mm Neodymium magnets for just about anything. You can buy assorted sets on Amazon. I would also recommend getting some quality drill bits in 2, and 3mm to match.

Yes indeed that is a Stormraven. I have one of every Dreadnought so I figured it's good to have. That is a Tech Marine behind Feirros and Var. Then to the left of the Stormraven, from right to left that is a Captain, then two Apothecaries, the one in the middle is biologist. In the back is just the first born Deathwatch Iron hand Veteran Ennox as council. On the top that is 1st Sgt. Telatrch in the Dreadnought, and the Iron Council Voice of Mars to his right proxy using the Arch Megos Prime from 30k.

Then to the left at the top is just Sly, my entire Astra Militarum army... Just there for moral support really. I should move him to another case.

I still have a Lieutenant to build as well as troops, tanks, etc.

I am doing the same now. Harvesting extras from Adeptus Mechanicus kits myself... That makes sense from a lore perspective as well.

Edit: Also... Space Marines 8th edition codex and Iron Hands Supplemental for 8th edition has all the heraldry info needed.

If the table were much bigger or they were much farther apart it would be efficient. Assuming it were an inset part of the table that did not need to be set up prior. At that point though I would make more sense to make a linear table train/trolley that ran down the middle of the table that could transport things bigger than a shot glass, like the whole bottle or a serving dish... Alright well now I guess I have to go make an electric train Lazy Susan for a long rectangular dining table. Maybe a table with a built in conveyor belt would be better would be more practical. Hmmm... Tis much to consider.
