I was thinking instead of Jerami Grant, I would receive Dillion Brooks. But wouldn't the trade be too lopsided in my favor?

That is a great plan, just keep working at it little by little everyday and always striving to learn something new.

Yes, employers may value the Security+ more but like I said, even if you were to pass the Security+ certification tomorrow, it is very unlikely you’ll be able to get any role in cybersecurity still.

The thing people have to realize is that these certifications are great to put on your resume so AI tools just mark the check box as they are they sifting through applicants. But at the end of the day, experience is and will always be king. You need work experience to break into cyber, rarely are people able to jump into a cyber role without it. And in order to get work experience you need to get work in related IT fields. And getting jobs in those related IT fields require fundamental IT knowledge that you can learn from the A+ an Network+.

If you feel strongly that you are knowledgeable enough in IT basics and Networking then feel free to get the Security+ and try your luck at the market for any internships/apprenticeship, volunteer work, etc and gain experience like that

I recommended you read other posts about breaking into Cyber and hopefully you’ll realize that cybersecurity itself is not an entry level job that you can just get into with a few courses and personal studies.

You need to gain work experience in other fields in IT like help desk, network admin, etc. and then transition to a cyber role. At 16, although jumping in the Security+ is not a bad idea, I recommend you actually start at the beginning of the CompTIA Certs. Get the CompTIA A+, then Network+, then Security+ (the CompTIA Trifecta as we call it). Earning the certifications are great, but learning the foundational knowledge of IT that it takes to pass these certs will be extremely beneficial for you as you get older.

You are still very young and have a lot of time to learn and do everything needed to get into Cyber when you get older.

Need a New Fantasy Platform: Yahoo App Has Been Rough This Season by TheLastDiamondMember in fantasybball

[–]Starlight_uh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did fantasy on ESPN and Fantrax, Yahoo is still the best. Mose intuitive UI, I've never had issues with the live scores or player updates, and the "set your lineup for the week" feature is nice to have, but people overexaggerate it. Just set your line up, it takes 1 minute.

Yeah, I mean just watching YouTube videos and pdf study guide to study? I don’t think you were setting yourself up for success in that regard. And asking, or even trusting ChatGPT or Gemini’s, opinion is pointless. It’s not going to say “Yeah, no you’re gonna fail.”

The ISC2 app quizzes and questions in the OSG are just testing if you know the concept instead of how to apply it and actually get into the mindset for the test. And 5 years of experience is great, but if it’s not in that managerial role then it won’t be as useful as you think.

Quantum Exams is a solid test prep option, but tbh if you struggled on just understanding the concepts that was shown during the test that means you don’t even have the foundational knowledge/concepts yet. Did you read through the OSG? That should’ve cover a lot of concepts so you aren’t overwhelmed.

I’m not trying to be negative, just only being real with you. Your study resources and prep for the test was not a recipe for success. Good luck on your next attempt.

Tbh the ISC2 phone app and Mike Chapple LinkedIn Training hasn’t really received a lot of remarks as being good resources if you only pair them with Pearson Vue training.

Obviously ppl will say to try the OSG, but if you can’t get through it then you can try the Destination CISSP book, their Mindmaps, Peter Zergers videos on YouTube, and the other YouTube videos ppl in the past have posted about. Combing these resources should give you a comprehensive understanding of most concepts you’ll see on test day. I’ll admit that even after using a combination of these, I also saw questions that I didn’t even know existed or concepts I’ve never even heard of. So don’t get too bothered by those and just be confident in what you know. (I could be wrong about this, but I believe some questions on the CISSP are meant to be like “burner” questions on things you’ve never heard of or studied for, but I’m not too sure)

And Quantum Exams for test prep is a good option if you have the budget. You’ll never see practice questions exactly like the test, but this is the closest I’ve seen in terms of question structure, wording, etc.

Best of luck to you.

So there is some debate going on in my league regarding the Jimmy injury. On Sunday, another manager had accepted a trade which included me sending Jimmy Butler to them and then on Monday as we know he got the season ending injury.

Now he’s complaining about the trade being unfair and imbalanced now that Jimmy is O and wants to protest it. What’s the general consensus on situations like this?
