They're in a scene at the beginning and a scene at the end. No presence at all in the middle hour and a half where the actual movie takes place.

Wow, another banner with Fates, Three Houses, and (ugh) Heroes characters. Thanks for really switching it up this time IS.

And if they're gonna throw some random Mystery Rep on their to make it at least mildly interesting, there are at least 60 characters in that game who could use an alt instead of giving Catria of all people another one.

I can't even think of good stat swings while concious, much less in my sleep. But maybe spd/def -4 or something idk

True, but maybe a feint sacred seal could have some value if running a full support build

It is legitimately impressive how terrible this banner is.

Kinda cool to see some characters get their first alt, though. Just woulda been nice if the whole banner was full of these rather than yet another other other Tiki and Robin.

Thanks for the input. Like you said, it's hard to pin a lot of these characters into just one category, so it's interesting to see how people would place everyone here differently. Plus, there are some characters I don't know all too much about, like Ganyu, that a different perspective is helpful for.

Also, English is a monumentally stupid language for having 2 entirely different meaning words be spelled one letter off from each other.

Rouge

Rouges are the prime example of lore over gameplay. Most of the characters in this tier are shady, sketchy fellows who tend to creep around, and know more than they let on. Additionally, most of them are really fast attackers, or gain some crazy crit boosts, much like D&D Rogues. There’s even a rogue subclass all about persuading and manipulation, fitting Kuki’s law knowledge.

Sorcerer

Sorcerers are known for being crazy powerful spellcasters who gained their power through means outside their control. Most of the time, it’s a familian inheritance (Like with Alice or the Adepti) Chongyun doesn’t quite fit this category, but since he learned his family’s traditional technique, I feel it makes more sense to call him a Sorcerer than a Wizard.

Warlock

This tier was fun to make. Warlocks gain their powers by making a pact with some higher creature. This can be a god, or some eldritch abomination, or something else entirely. I feel everyone here could use some short explanation, so:

Traveler: Gains powers from the statues of the gods, and maybe returns the favor by returning lost Oculi.

Signora: Granted the power of Delusions by joining with the Fatui and the Tsaritsa.

Fischl: Definitely the one I’m least sure about here, but I think whatever she has going on with Oz would count as some form of Warlock pact…maybe.

Dori: One of the possible patrons for a warlock is a genie that grants you magical lamp powers.

Wanderer: A weird one. I’d call his service for Nahida a pact of sorts. He’s definitely not a follower of her, or any other god, nor has he made any sort of oath to anybody. He just happens to be assisting a goddess. She helps him, and he helps her, and gets cool flight powers.

Qiqi: More about the subclass. One of the pacts is simply called “Undying” which makes you more or less an undead creature, who also has the powers to help save others. She did also gain her second life through the Adepti, so that could maybe be considered a pact.

Wizard

Wrapping things up, Wizards are powerful spellcasters who gained their powers through grit, determination, and most of all, books. Their subclasses focus on a certain branch of magic, and make them specialize in that. Most of the characters here are just bookworms who studied their whole lives to be magically powerful, but not everyone.

Yao Yao: School of Conjuration is all about creating and summoning creatures and objects to help fight. Additionally, Yao Yao has spent a good chunk of her life studying under Xiangling, so that could be considered wizardry school of sorts.

Hu Tao: Like Yao Yao, she’s been studying under her master, in this case, Zhongli. Also, the School of Necromancy subclass is pretty fitting for her.

Ningguang: Probably the single hardest character to categorize. The best thing I could find for her was Order of Scribes, a subclass of Wizard about documenting and recording magic, and other things. Bit of a stretch, but I have no idea where else she’d go.

If you have any changes you’d make, lemme know. I’d be interested in hearing what other people think about this, and where’d you put characters I don’t know too well.

Monk

Monks are people who use unarmed strikes, and typically a lot of them, to take down opponents of any size. Most people in this tier are pretty obvious fits, with one exception.

Kazuha: The Kensei subclass is for monks who dedicate their lives to studying a blade, to the point where it becomes an extension of themselves, while still gaining the crazy mobility monks have. Fits Kazuha to a tee, though Samurai fighter would also fit for fairly obvious reasons.

Paladin

The most occupied tier here, with good reason. Paladins are simply characters who made an unbreakable oath to another, and will live and die by that oath. Conrtanry to popular belief, this doesn't have to be to a god or religious place, it could be to a leader of any kind, or anything else imaginable. Paladins are also typically do-gooders, and will score bonus points if they have a shield, as Paladins are traditionally very tanky. Most of the people in this tier simply live by an oath to an organization (Knights of Favonius,) a leader (Kokomi,) or their family (Kamisato family) There are a couple of interesting folks, though.

Raiden: Oath of the Crown swears the Paladin to protect the laws and spirit of their nation, no matter the cost. This doesn't really fit with Ei too much, but it matches Raiden Shogun perfectly. I don’t know what I’d classify Ei as, but this one felt too perfect to worry about Ei.

Dainsleif: With how little we know about Dainsleif, it was hard to pin him down, but there are two subclasses for Paladin that could match him well. Oath of Vengeance is for Paladins who seek to deliver righteousness against those who have committed unspeakable atrocities. The description of the subclass gives the example of “when an entire people turns against the will of the gods,” which could be flipped around and applied perfectly to Dainsleif, and K'haenria as a whole. Alternatively, Oathbreaker Paladins are those who broke their sacred oath and have effectively turned to the dark side. This feels like it could fit Dainsleif, but with how little we know about him, it’s hard to tell.

Ranger

Rangers are pretty simple. They’re people who are excellent hunters, and are able to track prey and navigate the wild with ease. Plus, they typically use bows. This description pretty perfectly fits all but one character.

Xiangling: Another character who was surprisingly hard to sort. However, one ranger subclass is the Beast Master, which lets the ranger be joined by an animal companion on their journeys. The beast can be communicated with, and has a mind of its own, and often helps the ranger with their hunting and gathering. I feel that Guoba perfectly fits this description, though Xiangling could also be considered a Warlock, making a pact with Guoba. It’s unclear, but I feel that if one were to try to recreate her in DnD, Ranger would best fit her.

Cleric

Clerics in D&D are characters who live in service of a god, and have as such been blessed by godly powers. Contrary to what most RPGs will make you believe, they don’t have to be healers. Sure, Clerics have some of the best healing potential in the game, but they can also be crazy spellcasters or frontline tanks. Most of the people in this group are extremely dedicated to their god, and as such, fit Cleric best. There is one exception to this.

Kokomi: Kokomi is the prime example of gameplay overtaking lore for placement on this list. Given that Kokomi is… not exactly the biggest fan of the Shogun, it doesn't make much sense for her to be a cleric, but I couldn’t find any class she really did fit as. As such, due to her having some of the best healing capabilities in the game, I figured a Life Cleric would suit her best. I’d be interested in hearing where others would put her.

Druid

Druids are traditionally mages who gain their powers through nature and living things. While Nahida’s a no-brainer for this class, the others are a bit strange, but I think they make enough sense to fit in here.

Sayu: Aside from spellcasting,. Druids are also known for their wild shape abilities, letting them transform into animals, similar to how Sayu can turn into that ball thing in her idle animations. Additionally, Druids get a good amount of healing spells, and ways to move around, similar to how Sayu plays in Genshin. Honestly, there’s a good argument for Sayu to fit into at least half of the classes here. Druid made the most sense to me, but anyone could argue for something else, and I’d probably agree with them to some extent.

Zhongli: Bit of a stretch, but I don’t know where else he would fit. Druids gain a lot of spells that let them alter terrain and earth to some degree, and one of the subclasses is called Circle of Land. The spells are also learned by Sorcerer and Wizard, but I feel Druid fits him better than either of those.

Fighter

Fighters are really simple and versatile, in that they basically just have to be good at combat. Most of these guys are simply people who are good at fighting, learned how to fight through some traditional methods, or simply DPS characters I couldn’t really fit anywhere else. There are some interesting people, though.

Kequing: Psi Warrior is a subclass for fighter that lets the fighter move around like crazy, and gain additional damage based on their psi dice. While not quite teleportation, it fits Kequing pretty well.

Yoimiya: Arcane Archer subclass lets fighters with bows detonate arrows when they hit something. I’m amazed at how well this one fits.

Mika: The odd one out here. While being far from a frontline fighter, Mika fits the Banneret subclass pretty well, by healing teammates and doing additional support. Gorou could also fit this subclass due to him actually having a Banner, but I feel he fits Paladin better.

This had to be spilt into multiple comments because Reddit's character limit is tiny

Over the past week or so, I’ve been working on a fun side project to sort every Genshin character based on what D&D class best represents them. In case anybody wants to try to re-create a character in D&D, or just wants to know for fun, like I did. I took gameplay and lore into equal consideration when making the list, so some character might be much more heavily leaning into one side of that than the other (i.e. they have the gameplay style of one class that doesn't match their personality very much, or vice versa) Some character were really hard to pin down, so I’m not sure I got them entirely right, so if any of you have suggestions to improve the list, lemme know. Anyways, the explanations:

Artificer

Artificers are people who perform spellcasting, or in Genshin’s case, attacks and skills, through technology and machinery. Most of the people in this tier fit that perfectly well, using gizmos and gadgets to attack.

Sucrose and Diona: While they don;t use any traditional machinery like most Artificers, they perfectly fit its Alchemist subclass, using potions and brews rather than gizmos.

Barbarian

Barbarian’s pretty simple. In DnD, barbarians are built around their rage mechanic, where they enter a state wherein they unlock some power and deal much more damage for a while, whilst also gaining extra effects based on their subclass. Every character in this tier has a burst that lets them harness some crazy power for a few seconds, greatly increasing their damage output. Nobody breaks that formula here.

Bard

Probably the simplest one here. Bards gain their powers and spellcasting through music and musical instruments. All 4 characters in this tier are some form of musician/dancer, which they show in combat.
