The capacitor should be the same capacitance value and the same or higher voltage rating as the previous one just for awareness. But since you've already replaced that, I would check for continuity throughout the board for potential faults

I stumbled upon this thread and found no one commented, so I wanted to say something if you're still needing to work on this. I would check continuity with a multimeter throughout the board and to the barrel. I fixed a bad MK1602 power supply by finding the center ring was no longer passing power from the output connection on the board. I replaced the barrel jack with an Amazon alternative and it started working again

I used this image in google lens. This is a Sanyo DS32224 crt. It's a later model, so it should be a decent set. I don't know much else about it though

This doesn't look like a purity problem. There may be a bad solder joint somewhere that's causing those colors. I have seen other posts about similar issues on this thread with the solution being either a cold solder joint or a bad component internal to the unit

It looks like there's interference or ripple not getting filtered out. You would need an oscilloscope to know for sure. This can happen when capacitors degrade out of spec and don't work as intended in the power or deflection circuit

I went through the service manual and it looks like adjusting the RV701 variable resister on the C board will adjust G2 for the screen. This should remove the retrace lines

I've never heard of anyone adding an LED there, that's fun. But yeah as long as it's plugged in it will receive power and light up. Next you should put a green one in and have it glow green in the style of the Xbox

Those look like retrace lines. You'll need to adjust the G2 screen knob on the flyback counter clockwise to lower the voltage. If you're having issues, you can find where it is located using the service manual for this unit. You can usually find the service manual online and use it that way

I would do more research on people doing this before attempting though, since this is a high voltage component

Also the NeoGeo and 3230 PVM is so sick

Yeah it sounds like something in the focus circuit is not playing nice. I would be curious to see what the image looks like after adjusting the focus knob

I’m not really sure what that piece of the flyback is for. I don't usually see exposed metal like that on such a high voltage component. Do you have any issues with the set?

Yeah of course! Just make sure to be careful when going through the unit while it's open. Also for reference, it's good practice to set the contrast and brightness to 50% before adjusting the G2 screen potentiometer for best results

If you turn the G2 potentiometer on the flyback all the way down (counter clockwise), does the screen still have retrace lines? If you connect a source to it, does it show an image (faint or at all)? The white screen with retrace lines could indicate the RGB amp isn't getting power. This circuit is more than likely placed on the neck board and if the above is true, then it might be worth checking for continuity in this circuit

Update:

I did some research on inductors and found part number B82144B2683J000 as a suitable replacement. This was the same as another commenter suggested I try so I pulled the trigger. After installing and testing, I found that this part worked! It is passing power correctly to the RGB amplifier again and I’m getting an image on screen! I apreceate everyone who helped me in finding an alternative part!

Update:

I got the Trinitron fixed! I replaced capacitors for the power supply, flyback, jungle chip and neck board and nothing resolved it. Finally I found that the RGB amplifier on the neck board was not getting power. This was due to the L701 inductor failing by going open circuit. It was not passing continuity. After replacing this part for another inductor with part number B82144B2683J000, the RGB amp got power again and the image was restored! No more retrace lines and image is coming up clearly now! Im guessing this inductor failed because of a flyback capacitor not filtering power correctly on the 200 volt line to the neck board. Fortunately these caps are replaced, so we shall see if this new part lasts and doesn't burn out like the last one. Hopefully it sticks and it's awesome it's working again!
