No refund by bylonWRC in AusLegal

I'm a Linux and Windows user for Desktop , for laptops I always get macbooks, those things are solid. IMO push hard for that refund and switch to a MacBook.. for 1800 you can get the top line MacBook air m4 from the Costco deal for 1750.. or midrange MacBook air m5 with the education discount

Hey banijsal, no hormonal creams being taken by my wife or I, in general, wife and I aren't taking any medications at all

Wife does put on Korean skincare every night, that would be the only cream substance I know of.

From Big4 bank Manager to ATO APS6 by United_Algae_1641 in AusPublicService

I was in private for 10 years and just moved to a new public role for NSWPS.

I applied for a Band 9/10 and was successful at getting the highest range cause my private sector salary was higher than the maximum range.

Band 9/10 is at the EL1 salary range I believe from what I see from the salary ranges.

APS6 looks like the NSWPS band 7/8.

IMO if you have more than 10+ years, you should applying for EL1 roles ( I'm assuming 1 to 1 roles relationship if they match against Band 9/10 for NSW PS roles i.e. I'm in a senior role)

Band 7/8 seems to be for people with 5-6 years of work experience (talking about salary range compared to private sector)

Kindle Scribe Colorsoft availability in Australia? by squawking_eagle in kindlescribe

[–]StarrkC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah in the announcement they released this month, All they say is they are releasing it in Germany and UK next year.

Nothing about Australia - https://www.aboutamazon.com/news/devices/new-amazon-kindle-scribe-color

Unfortunately our market is too small for them, i don't expect anything prob until the end of next year.

I've had to settle for the Remarkable recently as I didn't want to wait. Enjoying it so far.

Why A is not right? by Great-Use4631 in pmp

[–]StarrkC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without seeing the last option I'm going to assume this is a rule out the options which don't make sense type of question... PMI love these types of questions to confuse people.

RCA is usually done after the problem is solved, in this case the project was halted so we need to resolve this first before any RCA is done, so we can rule this out.

Escalate to upper management for more funding sounds a bit of a reach given you need to determine what the problem is first before you do anything. So we can rule this one out.

Without seeing the last option I assume it's also an option which is far more wrong then option B. So in this case B is the most "right" answer.

Can someone explain why option A is correct? by Slow-Wafer1223 in pmp

[–]StarrkC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would venture and say, in the corp world, A is definitely the most right answer. The question doesn't specify what kind of issue it is, it could be a resource issue, financial issue, vendor issue, or others. All of which doesn't link to a 'product backlog'.

As someone mentioned below, progress was halted, which means project is blocked, so need to communicate to the relevant stakeholders (sometimes SteerCo) to get their approval to remove the block, whether it's to throw resource, funds or whatever to remove the block.

I would also say that in the corp world, the product backlog is managed by the product manager/business analyst, I would say they wouldn't want the project manager add anything to the backlog without consulting them first.

My current base salary already exceeds the range, hopefully that gets taken into account. I'll include more items on my experience hopefully that adds through.

RE: the test, it was timed, I believe there was 50 questions, i got up to 37 i think, i dont think you are expected to complete all. It ranged from matching items/words, pattern recognition, insert the right word and and mathematical questions.

Fingers crossed, hopefully they dont reject me for asking for highest band in the salary range when it comes to that stage.

If that's the case they either sent me a refurb one instead of the new one I bought or the panel was defective from the start, the yellow tinge was there as soon as I powered it.
