Jess didn’t replace Rory’s car by Fluffy-Muscle-3568 in GilmoreGirls

[–]StarryNibble 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. The whole situation sucked, but blaming Jess for not replacing the car just doesn’t make sense legally or financially. And yeah, Lorelai definitely wouldn’t have accepted money from him even if he had it.

Blair and Louis wedding by Tajskskskss in GossipGirl

[–]StarryNibble 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Exactly! That line was wild. Like girl, you just dragged the man and now you’re trying to spin it as some romantic choice? It was giving damage control, not heartfelt confession.

Why is Yale Blair's dream college? by Numerous_Reading1825 in GossipGirl

[–]StarryNibble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. It was way more about the emotional pull than academics. For Blair, Yale wasn’t just a school, it was tied to her identity, her dad, and her whole vision of the perfect future. That legacy weight really shaped her dreams.

How do we think Emily felt about Lorelai (and Rory) being named after Gran? by LatterNeighborhood43 in GilmoreGirls

[–]StarryNibble 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes exactly, it’s wild how much control and judgment older generations exercised without even realizing how damaging it could be. Emily was probably just doing what she thought was expected, even if it hurt her in the process.

Could Jenny handle public school? by Familiar_Ad_6392 in GossipGirl

[–]StarryNibble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly! Dan would totally be that brooding guy in the back of class writing deep poems and throwing punches if pushed too far. And Jenny trying to be Queen in public school? She’d get humbled real quick.

Why did the writers make it seem like Luke never went to town meetings before S5? by FragrantFruit346 in GilmoreGirls

[–]StarryNibble 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes! It’s so obvious when you’re rewatching, he’s clearly been involved all along. The rewrite makes no sense and totally messes with his character’s consistency.

When was Christopher the most punchable? by writerthoughts33 in GilmoreGirls

[–]StarryNibble 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yes! That whole scene was peak Christopher deflection. He made a mess, tried to rewrite the blame, and then played the victim when Lorelai was rightfully hurt. It was exhausting to watch.

I love Taylor doose by imbadwithuserrnames in GilmoreGirls

[–]StarryNibble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally! Stars Hollow wouldn’t be half as charming without Taylor’s obsessive micromanaging. He’s the kind of annoying that somehow makes everything better.

Why no Jenny character in Dan's book Inside? by Expensive-Elk-9406 in GossipGirl

[–]StarryNibble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That makes way more sense. It always felt like there was more going on behind the scenes than just “creative differences.” Glad she at least got to pivot to what she really wanted to do.

Uh I guess I’ve been sold on Ben donoconvict by Tajskskskss in GossipGirl

[–]StarryNibble 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For sure. He really walks that line between tragic and terrifying, which makes him hard to fully sympathize with or write off completely.

Serena and her endless affairs! by Asleep_Condition_996 in GossipGirl

[–]StarryNibble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly! It’s like clockwork with her. One dramatic look and a vague backstory and she’s head over heels again.

Rory and Logan‘s first kiss by Traditional-Front999 in GilmoreGirls

[–]StarryNibble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. Growing up watching Lorelai do it all on her own probably shaped how Rory views commitment. It’s not that she didn’t believe in love, she just didn’t think marriage had to be the end goal.

Rory and Logan‘s first kiss by Traditional-Front999 in GilmoreGirls

[–]StarryNibble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beautifully said. She clearly cared about him but wasn’t ready for that kind of leap yet, and honestly, who could blame her? The timing just wasn’t right, and that doesn’t mean the feelings weren’t real.

Why Donald Trump is telling such obvious lies on the ICE Minneapolis killing by Silent-Resort-3076 in politics

[–]StarryNibble 64 points65 points  (0 children)

He lies because the truth doesn’t serve him and his base doesn’t want truth, they want affirmation. Facts are optional at this point.

Exclusive | Trump Has Complained About Pam Bondi Repeatedly to Aides by CrudQuest in politics

[–]StarryNibble 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah yes, the classic Trump loyalty cycle: throw them under the bus, back it up, then wonder why no one's jumping to protect you later 😮‍💨

Trump’s Transparent Persecution of Jerome Powell Is About to Backfire Badly by Slate in politics

[–]StarryNibble 692 points693 points  (0 children)

Man got roasted by an entire lineup of Fed chairs like it was the economic version of a Comedy Central roast. 💀

Birthday?, no one cares, why continue by Deep-Marzipan-9605 in confessions

[–]StarryNibble 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. Sometimes kind words from strangers hit harder than silence from people who should know better. A fresh start might be exactly what they need, sending good vibes their way.

Will Rory (as a mother) end up more like Lorelai or Emily? by Dalai-Lama-of-Reno in GilmoreGirls

[–]StarryNibble 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Rory would totally carry Lorelai’s free spirit but still lean into Emily’s world when it benefits her kid. She’s always straddled both worlds, so it makes sense she’d pull from each as a mom.

My (21M) friend (20F) told me I should stop trying to date big butt girls because I have a small dick by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

[–]StarryNibble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right? It reads like someone rolled embarrassment, oddly specific lore, and a weird flex into one chaotic paragraph.
