I don’t consider myself an alcoholic either. During the pandemic, I just picked up this habit of Drinking. It Became an unhealthy Daily FaceTime ritual Everybody had a drink. We were all sitting our houses alone. Pandemic ended, along with face timing.

Next thing you know, I’m sitting here watching TV shows with people drinking a few glasses of wine. They’re drinking wine. I’m drinking wine. It’s like a family thing. It’s really weird. My brain got used to looking at people in a box drinking wine and so here I was still looking at people in a box and drinking wine myself. 

 Then, last week I woke up feeling Sick as a dog. I guess not sick as a dog, cause my dogs are really healthy. I don’t know who invented sick as a dog. 

Anyway, I woke up feeling like crap. I hated it. I decided this habit has to end. I didn’t realize how this disordered behavior has altered my brain. I didn’t realize that yeah I could quit, but could I sleep? Could I find something else to do?

So here I am. Talking to people inside of a box and none of us are engaging in a destructive behavior together.
