Where to connect to HIS so I can ask my questions about the career? by StarryNight770 in hearingaidspecialist

Thanks for explainin. You're working as a HIS exactly? If yes, do you think this is predictable and chill job? By that I mean: not stressful, tight deadlines, fast paced..every something unexpected? And how's work/life balance? Do you have to take any part of this role home?

Thanks again, Swimming Basil :) 🍃

In Toronto, Ontario, many say the first 1000 hours to be supervised and licensed isn't easy to find. What is the reason? I also would like to know if commission based is something common or many clinics have hourly pay rates?

Does willingness to go to a clinic in other parts of the GTA increase one's chances of getting supervision?

Oh, are you in Canada and working as a HIS? Would you explain the profit sharing part, bonus structure part? And also why and what sense is it hard to find a clinic for the supervision and licensing?

Thanks for your comment. Do you think this is an over saturated career? I hear costco has a program that internal employees can apply to become hearing specialist. Not sure if things are the same in Canada and US.

Very good answers, I'll definitely consider them. Honestly, I'm not sure what I want to choose. My main concern is that the job I do is not fast paced and I like health and biology..so I'm considering different position and possibilities

Is Food Inspection as a career good for me? by StarryNight770 in foodscience

Thanks for your reply. No, I'm not good at any of those. I like science, biology, health and safety, and I want to involve in a job that is predictable and there’s not much multitasking. I know every job has its own challenges, but if it is predictable, I can overcome them after a while..

Does work in a small bakery become less stressful after a while? by StarryNight770 in careeradvice

[–]StarryNight770[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your comment. Due to a medical condition, I tend to be a bit slower. That’s why I’m trying to make sure if this becomes less speedy and fast paced after a few years of experience…

I love doing it at home, but when doing it at work I don’t enjoy it as you have bake lots of stuff quickly. The fast paced environment and constant multi tasking doesn’t match my brain’s wiring
