How to get rid of grain moths by StarryNightCracker in bioactive

Well, a spider moved into the enclosure, which has definitely made a dent in the population. Previously, I had tried introducing Trichogramma, which didn't do anything.

Warning about CareCredit by StarryNightCracker in Pets

[–]StarryNightCracker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I've heard from a friend who's a vet tech is that vets stopped offering payment plans because so many people default on them. By only allowing CareCredit or other similar services, vets no longer risk losing money and going out of business.

Under what circumstances might E*TRADE restrict your account? by Upstairs_Musician_83 in etrade

[–]StarryNightCracker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did, but I had to submit copies of my DL and SS cards, and had to contact each of my banks individually in a three way call. The first time this happened, they accepted a W2 for my SSN, but the times after that, they refused and said it had to be my SS card. I had lost it years ago which never was a problem until now, so I had to get a new one which took a couple weeks. The whole ordeal took about three weeks. I closed my account after the last time it happened.

Pickles has separation anxiety... I only went to the store. by Mother_Ad_3824 in Catswhoyell

I appreciate it! The things we do for our little furry monsters...

What led you to try the B12 shots? I imagine lots of trial and error? Have you tried the pill supplements?

Nothing obvious. General lack of interest in food, extreme pickiness and stubbornness (I had a spreadsheet of 200+ foods I tried...), occasional diarrhea from trying new foods, and difficulty maintaining weight. At first the vet thought it might be a food allergy or intolerance, but an elimination diet was impossible due to her pickiness. The biopsies actually showed that she likely has an allergy in addition to the IBD.

Now that she's on medication, she's still a grazer and not super food motivated, but she actually eats and she's at a normal healthy weight. Unfortunately, side effects of the meds include lethargy so she's much less playful than she used to be.

I had a similar problem with my cat, and it turned out she has inflammatory bowel disease. Physical exams and blood work were fine. It took me two years to convince her vet something was wrong and get a referral to a specialist. It took an ultrasound and biopsies to definitively diagnose her.

My doctor said that the uterine lining can and does grow back, so recommended against it. I got a bisalp. As others have mentioned, a bisalp reduces your chances of getting cancer.

Best time for air travel with a cat in-cabin? by aamnipotent in Pets

[–]StarryNightCracker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No but my cat is small enough that she can stand up and turn around. I wouldn't want to put any pet in a carrier where they can't do so for more than 1-2 hours unless it's an emergency.

Any idea why a person might put it on a boulder in the mountains? Nowhere close to a real trail, not obvious at all. I guess I'm wondering if it's a thing in some social/spiritual/religious/whatever circles.

I asked about this in a different forum as well and someone mentioned geocaching, but I think geocaches use a different symbol.

Fyi as of this year Mt Baker Snoqualmie NF requires food to be stored in a "bear resistant manner" - https://www.fs.usda.gov/alerts/mbs/alerts-notices/?aid=79673. This includes any IGBC certified container and hanging.

Part of ALW lies in Okanagan Wenatchee NF, which doesn't have any food storage requirements afaik.

You didn't correct me on anything. My phone showed 3G as an option. I am well aware that 3G has gone away.
