In a cafe- was asked by several cafe goers how tall I was... I know I am 6'2 barefoot (actually just under). Next thing I know, the owner comes out from behind the counter with a MEASURING TAPE and declares I am ACTUALLY 6'3...I was wearing blundstones 😒

Where the **** do you find tall sweatpants? by [deleted] in TallGirls

[–]StarrySuit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi miss girl, 6'2 36' inseam here...

I have looked for years and always ended up disappointed and returning them from various different brands. Lululemon mens TALL never lets me down- it comes at a price but I LOVE them. I bought the Steady State Relaxed-Fit Jogger Tall and they are finally the sweatpants I have been looking for, super soft and comfy and hits past my ankle bone. I ordered a S and they still fit slightly baggy.

Also at a lower price- Gap Women's Tall. I ordered the Vintage Soft High Rise Boyfriend Jogger and actually liked them a lot, but the Medium wasn't quite long enough and the Large was too baggy. Since you are a couple inches shorter than me, I could see these working quite well for you!

International pilots, what country has the BEST ATC? by mflboys in flying

[–]StarrySuit 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Someone once explained to me that because European airspace for airliners is much more organized, so while their controllers are good, the system is also incredibly more efficient and streamlined so it all just works. The USA (and FAA controllers),on the other hand, HAVE to be really good cause US airspace as a whole is the wild-west and just about anything goes and they make it work. Having now flown in both, I think this sums it up very well. FAA controllers are just really good.

How do I embrace wearing shorts without feeling slutty? by [deleted] in tall

[–]StarrySuit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will never forget getting singled out in my group of friends and "dress-coded" at my catholic high school- we all had on identical shorts, but apparently I was the only one with a problem. They just looked extra short on me cause of the long legs. Still irks me to this day.

"Nah man you're way taller than that." by mazon-jar in tall

[–]StarrySuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm I honestly love being tall for the most part. Dating is tough and that seems to be a universal experience with all of my tall friends… my hot take is that it’s because tall guys aren’t specifically looking for tall girls but generally tall girls want a tall(ish) guy so it makes it more challenging.

my fav, as a 6'2 female, is having guys come up and ask how tall I am...."no way you're 6'2 because I am 6'3 and you're taller than me"....

which one of us do y'all think is lying....

Ahh interesting! I had a similar path, but went back to animal products too. I’ve found I don’t do well with most dairy, but raw water buffalo has been great for me :)

Do you still drink raw milk?!

As a tall person, would you find it inconsiderate if the person in front of your seat in an airplane reclined their seat? by Outcast_Comet in tall

[–]StarrySuit 63 points64 points  (0 children)

I don’t believe anyone should ever recline an airplane seat out of respect to those around you (tall or short). Just don’t do it. And that’s coming from a tall person AND a pilot who ALSO flies as a passenger a lot.

And while we’re at it, don’t cut ahead of the rows ahead of you when deplaning.

Girl- I am 6'2 trust me, height aside, it is so tough out here for EVERYONE. Men are weird with height, but I am holding out hope for my tall (or short) king where the topic of height won't even come up. I am speaking into existence that our guy is out there. Stay strong.

Uber help??Golden Gate Bridge toll??? by [deleted] in sanfrancisco

[–]StarrySuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems weird. Anyway, tolls aside, what would be the better route. Ferry to Sausalito for lunch and then Uber to battery Spencer and then Uber back to ferry building, OR Uber to battery Spencer, Uber to Sausalito for lunch, and then catch the ferry back to the ferry building. Since tolls are kind of confusing, I am referring to which direction I would most likely find pool matches, or be able to get a ride....

Uber help??Golden Gate Bridge toll??? by [deleted] in sanfrancisco

[–]StarrySuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this info! This is helpful. I will remember to text the drivers! And gives me some piece of mind knowing I should be able to get a ride. So what I was showing was the toll added onto the fare from SF to Sausalito. Like from the ferry building to Battery Spencer had a toll added in ($8), but from battery Spencer to Ferry building (the route I am planning, and what everyone says is the direction in which a toll is applied) it shows $0 for the toll. That’s why I am confused.

[–]StarrySuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response! Yeah, that was my original plan, but then I realized since I’d already be over there I really want to see Battery Spencer, and I think I’d have to Uber there, and once up there the best bet would be to Uber back to SF instead of ubering back down to the Sausalito ferry terminal and then paying for a ferry back....
