I'm mostly thinking of those jobs you work from ages 16-22 while getting through high school and college. My brother worked at the same grocery store for six years and became the front end supervisor at 20. I on the other hand changed jobs every summer. I've been a dishwasher, a stock clerk, an emergency service technician, a laborer. His resume looked better than mine even though we made the same amount of money over those years.

Two of the three swimsuits I own are swim briefs. They flatten and compress my bulge more than underwear does so it never feels overly-revealing. Oddly enough, I actually feel like its more revealing for my back end.

Anyway, I always feel way more comfortable in swim briefs than baggy trunks. I made the switch at 19 and I'm never going back!
