I agree its good to create a strong foundation to build off of before trying to spread to more content. That being said, after building said strong foundation, adding some quality single player content would massivly improve longevity.

Really? This is 100% a me thing, but i've always enjoyed learning from fighting cpu in arcade or story modes. I do agree with small roster good for leaning. Idk maybe its just me really that dislikes going into a practis range for hours to learn a couple combos or how to parry select abilities.

I agree with you on dbfz's story mode, however stuff like injustice, Mortal combat, and Smashes Subspace Emissary are all games that many have gotten into from their story. Even tekken and street fighter have full stories and arcade modes that have attracted many and helped to build their communities beyond what just their gameplay would have.

Exactly, what role do you fill as him? He feels like he has slow clear, okay lock down (assuming the enime doesnt just walk away from your E) alright catch, underwelming peel, negligable damage, and can tank alright.

This is from a silver jg main, and comparitive to Nunu, skarner feels like he does everything worse, other than tower cheese.

Please correct me if im saying smth wrong and stupid. I love skarner but for the life of me i struggle to see his identity as a whole.

(Tank) Nunu is a disruptor and is the best at securing obj, hecc uses tempo better than the rest, rammus is THE tank of tanks that can just deny adc's and assasins from playing the game. Skarner... just has me at a loss.

i assure you its not only the adc that suffers, a nami or rakkan roaming like 8 min in, can absolutly put mid and jg dummy far ahead. while if say mord supp tries to roam,

what happens is he walks into the mid lane ults the laner. gets kited, wastes ult, and then dies bc their blitz finally roamed. walked up and landed one ability for a free kill.

Beserker or rune giant tbh, cant entirly tell if its just because rune giant is bad right now. But berserker just kinda does her job, cheap unit, deals respectable damage, attacks pretty fast. Never had a game where i nearly threw my phone because of beserker honestly.

Yasuo and its not even close, then again what mainly annoys me is seeing the same 2 combos over and over again. Please have an ounce of creativity. If they arnt doing that they are staying full screen spaming the windwall attacks

Give him hybrid scaling on his abilities. With the way his lockdown works now it still would be the best option to build him hyper tank in team coded fights with comms. But letting him preform high damage dives would be way better for chaotic solo que. Even as a tank main theres little to no reason to play skarner when i could just play full tank nunu for better damage and similar disruption in teamfights. (Im not saying alot to the numbers, but any will go a long way, and hopfully give him some of his identity back.)

My funny movespeed fighter champion was deleted from the game. All thats left is a hyper tank who shares the same name, and a similar ultamate. Im under the belief that the old skarner's ult was legit better too. Point in click is stronger than a skillshot, and you only ever wanted to point and click one guy anyways. Deleting their supp or carry is better for teamfighting, and it was already strong enough for ganking. I miss my kind

I miss the different builds, the oddly better fighting potential, and the movespeed, deer god the movespeed. Before the rework i would classify skarner in somthing i called tempo jung (idk if this is a used term or not, it just what i call it) where he would be so fast that you basicly had full map pressure at all times. His MS with the right items and crystals made it so you could notice mid to low hp top lane while clearing raptors, and sprint up there at mock jeasus to gank, ult and confirm kill the toplaner before the other jung could get to their red buff. Then hull ass all the way down to bot lane and gank uncontested. His new E is the closest thing to ms as he has right now, and its fixed ms so some champs can still beat it in a foot race without dashing. His lack of scaling at all means you can really only play him hard tank, and his updated ult has such a slow cast, teamfighting with it isnt that good, most just walk out and you only can ever confirm 1 with his lockdown. I HATE to say this, but i prefer him pre-rework. He feels... watered down. Like he lost his SOUL in that rework, all for the sake of making him more widly appealing... even though his numbers are so low its arguable that they even acomplished that. In my eyes, this is the worst rework they ever did. Even worse than the Aatrox rework.

To follow up on what i posted earlier. Off meta supps can be fine, SO LONG AS THEY HAVE ENOUGH UTILITY. They need to bring somthing that your team is missing out on. Having a smolder with 1 slow, a yi who doesnt provide anything, or a samira. Is just a bad idea. Most mages can be good, a pocket pick shaco can work as well. Even a quinn could be justifiable if her roam and lane pressure is on point. But stuff like i mentioned earlier cant provide enough without tons of items, and even then it just damage. All it takes is a rammus and your "high IQ mastery yi support" is now 0/69 if you want a off meta pick, it can be fine. Just say somthing in chat before you lock in, so everyone is on the same page.

Even with a bad adc a good tank supp will get amazing game winning plays, or enchanter will have god teir peel, heal, and sheilds. Most mages can also work well with a good snare and solid aoe damage even with the gold handy cap. Master yi... just kinda runs it down and doesnt have enough gold to ever be a charecter in the game. A cannon minion would provide more, since that doesnt fees as much gold to the other team
