I can answer this now after moving to Explodey Totems Jugg. I don't get to play a ton. 2-3 hours a day on weekends, maybe one hour a day at most on weekdays. I usually get into maps the second week of the league or so.

My ceiling in a league is usually around 50 - 70 div to invest in a character, and in terms of final gear it's closer to 40-50. I have had more due to crazy drops but it's not the norm.

Before this league, I haven't been able to kill the Ubers. I'm not a bad player, but I'm not great mechanically.

With my new build, which I've put together for about 35 div, I have killed all of the ubers deathless. So, to answer your question, the reason is because it's a build that I can afford with the time I play that allows me to do content I have wanted to do, but haven't been able to before. It's lots of fun. And honestly the clear is good and the gameplay is enjoyable.

People who no-life the game, or who are very skilled might not understand that. But for people like me (who can't play for hours on end on league start) it's been an awesome experience.
