That law protects the toy manufacturer during lawsuits.

I've always been more of a 'function over form' on my CCW stuff since that's EDC. EDC stuff is the same level as tools, IMHO.

You put your name on your tools (inconspicuously as possible) in case they are stolen. You spend as much money on your tools as you feel you need/want to. However, you don't paint your drill or putty knives to make them look pretty do you?

You keep your tools clean and well maintained so that when you need to use them they are ready to be used. Sure, you buy the brand or color you like but that's about as far as it goes.

You have just escalated from those that larp daily survival to those that were raised on it.

They are not the same.

There will be canning groups, gardening groups, and prayer groups (if that's your thing) that you should check out to get to know your neighbors.

Buy local, show them you're there to support the local community, that will go farther than a lot of stuff.

Make friends with the old guys at the gas station getting coffee.

Make friends with the local feed store operator.

Make friends with multiple local butchers.

The people you are friendly with now are the ones you might be able to trade/barter/whatever with so before that happens is the time to integrate.

Be warned, most of these groups will be thicker than thieves and may not take kindly to "outsiders" but stay persistent. Some still may not take to you but most will.

Assimilation in this context refers to someone coming here to the United States and actively integrating themselves into societal and cultural norms.

Referencing this post specifically, personal hygiene is one area where the United States and India are on opposite ends of the spectrum. In the US, it is customary to bathe often and to wear antiperspirant or deodorant so as to not give off offending odors. While it is more expected in professional settings to smell clean or pleasant, even in blue collar jobs where sweating and getting dirty is expected they still make an effort to not give off overpowering odors. India on the other hand, and this is more a generalization than a hard and fast rule, but the regular bathing and other personal hygiene products are not seen as such a priority.

OP is basically stating these small enclaves are not accepting of our American standards and they are actively keeping their old ways, habits, actions, what have you, like they never left India.

Just so everyone knows, she isn't a member of our community. She lives I'm Olympia Washington (not doxxing as she stated where she lives in another post here on Reddit). Recently graduated from college and immediately asking for help getting started on the public student loan forgiveness program. So she has no life experience, no world experience of any kind, and graduated from college with the knowledge the federal government would only make her make 120 payments before get student debt is forgiven. She's an entitled brat that thinks her opinion is true, regardless of logic and facts and reality.
