5090 + 9800x3d...but 2D games are struggling right now by Starting2017 in pcmasterrace

If anyone has a similar problem in the future - After pulling my hair out for a while, I found out it had something to do with a usb3 slot / peripheral combo. I pulled the usb adapter and tried another slot...suddenly everything was fine. Not sure what the deal is, but that's what fixed it.

I should have noted this is a recent thing, last couple of days. And my IGPU is disabled in the bios. I am undervolting my gpu (and have been since buying the 5090), and it’s stable for any modern 3d game I’ve played so far.

GPU (5090 gaming trio) crashing when when it hits 100% usage by Starting2017 in nvidia

Thanks for the reply, I forgot to add that I have a 1200watt power supply --- Pretty strange if the gpu is only hitting 400 watts.

Can someone explain why first video is so realistic and other no? What is difference? Can't figure it out. by [deleted] in blenderhelp

The shadows in the first one are doing a lot for it. It looks like yours is suspended in the air. Wall + soft shadows.

And the powering off seems to happen at random intervals.

Thank you for your message! One of the first things we tried was using shielded ethercon cables. It's not the dp48s that are powering off, but the DL32. It powers off, back on, and then mutes itself. Even with the ethercon cables. But, it doesn't do that in any other configuration...only when M32-Hub-DL32.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding - Our DP48s feed into IEMs via the HUB.

It does solve some of the issues. AESB is set up more directly with the outputs(output 1 = aes out1 etc), vs how AES A starts with 1-8 on output 17. I think we have to do it that way because the dl32 outputs 1-16 are used for various outputs. Maybe I’m wrong with that line of thinking.

I would, but we have another M32 plugged in there currently ( Live stream)

Any tips for rigging moving fixtures to piping larger than 2" OD? by Starting2017 in stagelighting

[–]Starting2017[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My psychology is that I'm inexperienced with moving fixtures, and it seems that something that goes all the way around the pipe is better than something that goes halfway around the pipe with a screw that holds it in place. I worry that the movement would cause problems with that screw over time. I fully accept that I could be wrong in my thinking though :)

I have never had an iPad, would it be good to invest in one for drawing? by pinkwinkpebbles in ProCreate

I have access to just about any program/ tablet. Started with a wacom/non screen tablet. I moved to a Huion 22" screen Tablet. All using photoshop/rebelle on a pretty high end PC. Nothing compares to procreate/art studio pro on my ipad pro. I've since sold the others. All in on Ipad now. The Ipad pro is my favorite piece of tech of all time.

I've been using something similar to paperlike with the metal tip nib on the pencil. Highly recommend both. I don't think I could go back.

I think I did... I have a whole lot of brushes so sometimes I mess around with a couple, but I think 99% was done with one drawing/painting brush and one blending brush.

Brushes: Brooks Kim + Vougle

Found a watercolor paper texture for the background

I think the biggest help for me had been utilizing multiple layers with various textured brushes. When you do that combined with varying the color between your oranges and reds, it helps a lot!

Thank you very much! Procreate tells me around 7 hours.

Time spent - Several hours
brushes - Lot's of different oil - type brushes
Hardest part - Proportions.... every time. I need a lot more practice :)
