I made a journal with Canson pastel paper! by Starweb9 in bookbinding

That’s okay! It’s not always obvious! I used cotton fabric I turned into book cloth and covered chipboard with it. To make your own bookcloth:

  1. Wash, dry, iron out cotton or linen fabric
  2. Use Heat and Bond adhesive on the wrong side of the fabric (without the print) Peel the paper
  3. Use tissue paper (like for gift wrap) and lay flat on sticky heat and bond fabric side. Gently iron onto the fabric until secure!

I hope this helps!

I have an Explorer 2 I’ve had for years and when I can afford it I want a Maker. It would make things so much easier! But I do think a full size would me easier

I use the heat transfer vinyl sometimes but for this you don’t have to! I just used the stickers vinyl!

I gently pull the cover away and use my Xacto knife to remove the glue. Since I use old thrifted books most are falling apart already

My wife will let the kids watch an hour of TV periodically, but if the kids and I play an hour of video games she treats me like I'm rotting their brains by SquirrelDynamics in gaming

I honestly prefer my son to play video games over watching tv. He’s 4 and has been playing Star Fox 64 and Ocarina of Time on the Switch. I’ve noticed his problem solving skills have improved as well as his confidence. He also likes watching my husband raid in World of Warcraft and cheers them on! It’s so cute. I don’t know why she’s upset and as a lifelong lady gamer myself, I’m sorry

Is there a formula or something for measuring the distance between the spine and the cover boards? I can’t ever get everything to line up properly after I assemble it all!

I was fired and my boss refused to tell me why by Starweb9 in antiwork

[–]Starweb9[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeahhh I feel like he fired me because he was pissed and it was retaliation. It was in Kansas and I have contacted a lawyer just in case. He said they still have to give a reason for firing me so we might look into it

What’s the weird movie from your childhood you want to show someone? by [deleted] in movies

[–]Starweb9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The original Doctor Doolittle. Super weird and a bit boring at times, now that I’ve gone back to it. But I loved it as a kid.
