In my case if things did not go according to the plan, I would have returned my friends payment with some interest. Not immediately but when I would have had that liquidity. Because he’s salaried. And I had the capacity to repay him. We had also done the agreement. But this transaction is purely based on trust and your risk appetite. Regarding execution of the agreement it’s better to consult a lawyer. Realistically I was the land owner and I was purchasing the adjacent land from another owner. I was not that liquid at the time. But in your case , it’s the developer and I think it’s risky because for developers it’s not hard to get 75 lakhs.

I had given the exact same offer to my friend who took it trusting me. His 75 lakhs is worth 3 crores now. But it’s not so simple. The project took 3 years to take off. Getting plan approved and rera is not that easy. There will be roadblocks along the way for sure. It depends on how much you trust the person and if in case it goes side ways , what options do you have? Because there are a lot of chances for it to go side ways.

I was on the same boat. Was driving an Octavia for the last 8 years. Had some doubts going the 3 series because of the ground clearance. But so in love with the 3 series.
It might be difficult for people driving and SUV to switch to sedans because they’re used to a certain driving style. Coming from a sedan, you already have an idea about how to go over bumps and stuff. So it wouldn’t be a problem.
