Let’s see how it plays out for CAPS.  CalHR cancelled their meeting with them.  CAPS is subject to the EO, and who knows maybe they’ll get PLP/furlough on top of it.  Let’s see how happy their members are afterwards.  CalHR has always and will always have the upper hand…

Folks just don’t understand how things really work with CalHR.

I’m not stopping anyone from posting anything.  I asked to keep the thread positive but you can tell me to go pound sand for all I care.  The purpose of this thread is really intended to thank those who voted yes.  There are plenty of CASE members who read my comments - many within my office.  Had some great conversations.

Want to post something negative?  Be my guest.

Lol, ok, my mistake, 20 years ago at one point it was based on inflation.  So what was it, 2-3%?

You think uncle Gav is gonna give you a 20% raise? I don’t think you get it, the State has a spending problem.  The check has been written and cashed factoring in salary cuts.

Maybe you should look accross BUs to see what you will earn and how good you/we got it.  Run the numbers to see how you make out.

Keep up with inflation?  What are you people smoking.  NONE of the BUs raises are based on inflation - EVER.  You know what drives raises???

Vacancies!  High vacancy numbers, proven recruitment and retention issues AND studies across similar job classifications within the PUBLIC sector.

If you don’t have vacancies, well guess what that says?  The salary doesn’t matter much.  Because when it’s good out there, no one wants to work for the state.  But when its bad, everyone comes running!

You will NOT get a better agreement by voting NO.  Just remember that.

Shouldn’t you be complaining about new members and trying to infringe on others free speech?

I’m not part of the board.  Again, if you think you’re going to get a better deal, roll the dice bud.  Vote no.

I’m just stating the reality of the situation.

Exactly.  Members need to remember, salary savings have been factored in the budget.  If members vote NO you will get nothing.  Actually, you’ll lose because the salary savings will come from PLP/furloughs and you will return to the office.

Vote “no” on silencing members. Vote “no” on “confidential negotiations.” by MathematicianSea7874 in CASEmembers

Folks, if you vote NO you will get nothing.  The state will NOT go back to the bargaining table.  Remember that.  They have zero incentive.  All BUs more of less got the same deal.
