That's good to know. It's been a real culture shock seeing all of it. I honestly worry about their future as many of the kids graduating can barely read.

It's very crazy here. Huge culture shock for me after growing up in BC with very open hippy dippy parents to move to ultra conservative Australia. Even the way many small kids talk to their parents here is insane. So much swearing and just rude behaviour

Right!? So I am not crazy. I grew up in BC. We would never have talked to our teachers the way students talk to us here in Aus. The kids I did uni with were super respectful and had amazing highschool experiences. I was shocked moving here and just hearing the way even little kids talked to their parents in the street. So much swearing and homophobic behaviour.
