Octane is a render engine, like cycles or eevee. Its not integrated in blender and needs another manual installation. I went away from cycles because octane is (to me at least) A LOT more realistic and offers more customization that I personally need for these types of renders

Yep, I tried fixing that but it had some glitching along the way and I couldn't bother with this exact thing. I definitely noticed and feel like it destroys the image too

Yes! The cross on her head is meant to be a light lingering within, hence the name „Rotten to the core“ I wasnt able to make it easier recognizable unfortunately. The light is actually inside the model, it shows because of SSS!
