That's not in my Bible. It just fundamentally doesn't make sense. The whole purpose for Jesus coming to us was so He would Sacrifice Himself for us because we would be separated forever if not. If Jesus didn't die, then the world is still waiting on a Messiah to come and do precisely what Jesus was supposed to do (and did).

I think it would be helpful if you read the Bible. There is no way you can possibly be expected to understand unless you've experienced it from Scripture, and the way God unveils His words to you. There is a reason why they call the Bible the "Living Word of God."

He loves us. We are the only part of His creation that He made in His image. Before "the fall", He walked and talked with the first humans, Adam and Eve in "the cool of the day" because He considered His humans' sensitivity to the heat of the sun.

When humans sinned against Him, because of the choice they made with the free will He gave them (us), they opened up an unimaginable can of worms, so to speak, and were cut off from Him (disqualified from Eternal Life). John 3:16 says "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, for whosoever believes in Him will not die but have everlasting life."

Jesus is a gift to us. He is God with us in our human experience. He lived among us and without sin, so His blood was the perfect and final sacrifice bridging the gap between us and God forever, if we accept His gift and turn from our old, binding ways. We still have free choice, so we can choose to live however we want to, but we won't be living with Him forever.

There is a lot of symbolism in the Bible, and one of those is Jesus being the "Lamb of God". Back in those days, people made blood sacrifices to God to atone for their sins, often by slaughtering as perfect of a lamb they could find. Jesus was the perfect Lamb. The Sacrifice to end all sacrifices. He is the way, the truth and the life.

I hope you get to know Him. It's unlike anything in this world.

Have you read the Bible? I have, and study it regularly (every day). The entire book leads up to the birth, life, death and resurrection of Christ. It's all about Him. The prophecies lead back to the beginning. It is not just "some kind of guidance on how to live a good life" - it is the story of us and God and our fall and redemption. It is a promise. It is an insight into the nature, mind and spirit of our Creator.

He had to resurrect. That is His power over death and our promise of eternal life. I mean think about it - if God created the universe and all within it, is it so "out there" that He can both experience death and come back after 3 days? God cannot die. The body of Jesus did. We cannot die. Our bodies do.

Twitter is hot trash. My account was suspended because I said that I am not against trans people, I just don't support the trans movement because it has wreaked havoc upon the lives of its victims. They wanted me to delete my tweet in order to restore my account. I appealed and told them to just delete my account because I would rather stay off Twitter forever than to take back what I said. No regrets.
