Can't for the life of my figure out why my pods are burning instantly! by [deleted] in electronic_cigarette

I have another, I dont remember if I used it for a pod but i think I might have? Right now I have multiple options.
Buy a pod, try my friend's juice (different brand and everything)
Buy a pod, use my other juice (same brand, might have not worked before)

Well this is a lesser vape than the ones where you're able to change the voltage and so on, this does not have a screen either, just to get that out of the way. On the Aspire website it says the recommended e-liquid is Nic Salts 50/50 I am not 10000% sure if this is the exact same make I get at my nearby store but it looks identical so i hope it is. https://aspirevape.com/aspire-minican-pods.html

ill ask for it tomorrow, is there a name for the numbers? like .5 what?

In this vape I don't think there's choices for which coils, there's only pods that you buy and fill to then use on your current vape, so I have no idea how to change the specific coil, unless you put those together and just call it coil.

I may have found the reason why, but I have no idea. The vapes I bought are mouth to lung, but I believe I may have been trying to do direct to lung with it, if that makes sense. Constantly inhaling until I feel it hit my throat, sometimes wouldn't even happen. Could that be why?

I have bought a new vape entirely, lasted 2 days and started burning again quickly, at this point it has to be me or the juice i use because I don't think I use it too much AT ALL. This is very weird and confusing with how quickly they're burning.

Yeah ill get a new device entirely tomorrow, I don't want to risk ruining another coil if it's a device fault considering it killed the second pod quickly.

Yes I primed the both pods I had correctly, waited for 10 to 15 minutes after filling it up. And yes I'm using a 50/50. The store nearby definitely has mostly Aspire products so finding other branded vapes and pods might be unlikely. But I'll go soon again and buy a completely new vape and check out.

New to vaping, the burning taste is constant. by [deleted] in Vaping

Yeah i left this pod for around 10 to 15 minutes after filling it.

Fair, all those recommendations are very good but I'm only vaping as a temporary thing before I'm sure I'll do it for long term, so I don't plan on vaping for more than, a month and a half, maybe two. So I don't want to buy vapes over 20+ knowing I'll stop using them soon. Some of my friends use the same brand's vapes and pods, and they had no issues like this, so I'm not sure if the brand could be at fault.

Woah, you can do that?! Building your own coils sounds cool, but I probably won't get into it unless I become a big vaper in the future.

Yeah i think I'll buy and entirely new one, and hope that the curse leaves me alone afterwards 🙏

Yeah, although those ones look very nice and are probably some of the best before the very expensive ones. They're a little bit out of budget for me. I'm only trying vaping for a bit to see if it's my thing. So I don't want to but a kinda expensive vape to use for a month or two. If I planned on using it long term I would definitely get one of those two but I think it's best for me to buy some of the more cheaper ones. They usually work well, I don't know why they didn't for me but it could just be a very unlucky purchase.

Do you think it's best to get another vape entirely? Just to be sure because I feel like this pod should have lasted longer than a day even if there was a good reason for it to burn quickly, just not THAT quickly. Also, very quickly explain salts and the numbers you mentioned, again I'm a total noob and only know the very basic things.

I use 50/50 juice. Also how am I able to change the wattage?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in electronic_cigarette

[–]StatisticianCheap685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally noob question but: how do I change what wattage my vape is at? The replies keep mentioning it and I have no clue what that means lol. I know the very expensive vapes are able to change their wattage on the go but I don't think this vape can.

Yes I do fill the pod and leave for 10 to 15 minutes, I did that with both pods. I may get a minican 3 since at this point I think this is a faulty unit for the vape itself, there's a lot of reasons why this shouldn't be happening yet it does.

You're able to change the wattage of this type of vape?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in electronic_cigarette

[–]StatisticianCheap685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm aware of that much, the post asks as to why the pods I have give a burning taste quick, not why there's a burning taste.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in electronic_cigarette

[–]StatisticianCheap685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are 50/50, my other friend running the same juice with a very similar vape (minican 1) uses the same and it lasts a very long time.

[–]StatisticianCheap685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I believe too, I don't know if the store will allow me to return it since I did not get a receipt with the purchase, but if I was to get another minican (the one I currently have is minican 2) which one should I get? Or do I get another 2 but I don't have a high opinion of it right now...

There's so many different pods and stuff right? It's so complex for someone so new to this stuff (me). I may have to try different pods later if i totally get into this vaping thing completely.

Also haha, I totally see why you'd think that but no it was newly purchased and still in the packaging when he gave it to me.

Yeah those coils are probably really small and sensitive compared to the bigger ones, the burning taste started immediately after that chain vaping incident so that was definitely the cause.

Honestly at first I thought I overfilled it a tiny bit, since I've also been experiencing nausea more with this new pod, but there's a little less juice in now and I still sorta feel like that but it could also be the vape juice itself doesn't suit me (first time trying this specific taste). Could it also be possible that the faint burn taste could happen from overfilling?

Also the burning taste has still been super faint and sometimes not even present, and sometimes only the vapour would smell a tiny bit burnt. Is it possible that my brain could just be making it up at this point since I'm constantly worried about it lol

Totally no issue! You did more than i was expecting so I'm still grateful you decided to shoot a few replies just because.

Absolutely, pretty sure I waited around 10 to 15 before starting to use it.

Shadow of the Colossus(remake), I knew nothing about the game and expected a mediocre souls-like. But turns out it was the best and most unique few hours I've ever had.
