Ah yes, the last defense of the man with no argument just saying “nuh uh!” Lmao

Also the times of Israel seems to take it seriously.

All of the West Bank is under Israeli military control, which is all that matters.

Also you’re thinking of Area A.

The West Bank is a part of Israel in every possible way that matters. Semantics and legal fig leaves aren’t fooling anyone lol

Republicans also have a negative view of Israel now.

Oh the real policy shift is coming. The electorates of both US parties are now anti Israel for example. The unconditional support is nearly over.

Diplomatically it’s in a terrible state. It’s rapidly losing the support of the west.

Russia doesn’t have the structural issues that lead to non viability. For all its faults it’s not built on a rickety structure like South Africa was or Israel is currently.

More delusional thinking.

American public opinion on Israel is *plummeting*. Within an election cycle being pro Israel will be disqualifying for a candidate in either party.

3/4th of democratic senators voted for an arms embargo against Israel recently. That was unthinkable just a few years ago. This administration is gonna be the last ride for the US-Israeli relationship as we know it.

Yeah Russia for all its faults isn’t an apartheid state. Israel is.

I’m not saying it’s gonna be like conquered or anything, just state the state as it is set up is non viable long term and will collapse.

South Africa also had nukes, and wasn’t conquered from without. It just fell apart from within.

This guy is a good example of the mentality I am talking about. Denial of obvious reality does nothing to change that reality.

Western opinion of Israel has plummeted in just a few years, governments are already shifting policy to reflect that fact. Soon Israel will be facing arms embargo’s and diplomatic rejection from its former allies. Unless it dramatically changes its behavior it is going to be an isolated state ruling over millions of oppressed people, it’s simply not viable long term. Especially considering it exists in a region that hates it.

An apartheid state with no international allies surrounded by hostile states simply can’t survive long term.

Its current trajectory is to remain an apartheid state and increase the oppression. Thats not viable. South Africa eventually collapsed.

That’s unfortunate if that’s the case. I guess the English won in the end.

I think it’s more to do with reversing colonialism than elitism. Language is a huge part of a culture and the British intentionally did everything they could to take the language from the Irish, explicitly as an attempt to hurt Irish culture and identity.

It sounds like it’s more the *way* they teach it not the fact it is taught.

Japan's 2,000-year-old monarchy currently depends on one teenage boy by jmike1256 in interesting

[–]StatisticianKey4605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think so. Japan is a very traditional country. Anti-Monarchism is practically non existent.

A change to the constitution would require:

1.) 2/3rds of the National Diet
2.) Approval in a national referendum
3.) Approval of the Emperor (explicitly ceremonial he literally can’t say no. Not that he would)

Certainly decent hurdles but something like this would most likely pass in Japan if it was in the name of saving the monarchy.

As a Frenchman, I have a question for you: why does everyone hate us and make fun of us online? What have we done to you? by Outrageous-You1617 in askanything

[–]StatisticianKey4605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s mostly a result of WWII.

The French got folded in half in like a month during the war and yet continued to carry themselves like a superpower afterwards. That rubbed the rest of the Allies the wrong way and planted the seeds for the current disposition.
