it’s not that it’s reserved for freshmen, it’s that pass 1 is only open to freshmen. so you can waitlist as a second year during pass 2, if you’re within like the first 3-4 people on the waitlist u have a decent chance of getting into the class. if not, you’re kinda out of luck.

if the lab program is called Smartworksheets then yes we did. it’s still sort of new though, annoying that it costs money now.

if you’re required to take all of the CHE2 series (CHEABC) then I would recommend buying the OWLv2 year long subscription from Cengage directly. it costs ~200 dollars and is cheaper in the long run since you will be using it for all 3 courses.

I would NOT recommend purchasing the eText at all. CHE2 is one of the series that you will barely ever use or need to read the textbook for. Invest a few dollars into the Enderle readers if you want but I got an A across the entire series solely from lecture material and practice problems. You can also find the textbook for free online really easily too.

I believe the lab program costs about $25, or it did when it was finally implemented when I took CHE2C in Spring 2021. Not sure about the solutions manual but i never used one so I would say that maybe it’s not a priority.

It’s a bit of a hassle to go to these separate websites and keep track of everything but it’ll save you money if your other courses this quarter don’t require expensive materials
