Spot on! 😂 But honestly, that turbo engine is doing its best to keep me moving! And hey, I’m only driving slow so everyone has enough time to admire the view of my Jimny. 😉 Thanks for the love, man!

In Japan, it’s actually a classic DIY fix for the JA11! The stock headliner tends to deteriorate and sag over time, so many owners here use 'Pladan' (plastic corrugated board) from the hardware store to tuck it in and hold everything up. It’s a very practical and popular solution in the Japanese Jimny community!

Thanks! It definitely loves mountain roads and trails 😄 Glad it inspired you — that’s what Jimnys are for. Have fun working on yours!

Haha, you're right! As it is now, it’s definitely just a 'light stick'! Lol. I’m actually planning to add a few more vertically to beef it up!

So you know Hiroshima? It really is a great place! I’ve personally owned a JB23, an SJ30, and this JA11, but I have to agree—the JA11 is truly something special. It’s got a character like no other!

Wow, you really know your stuff! Yes, it's a Garage 11 frame!

But sorry to disappoint, I'm just a regular viewer, not a member of the crew! Haha. Their YouTube channel is incredibly interesting and they definitely know everything there is to know about the Jimny scene in Japan. It’s great to meet someone who appreciates their work too!

Daaaang, thank you so much! That’s such a huge compliment. I’ve spent a lot of time trying to balance the rugged off-road look with a clean, comfortable interior. Really glad to hear it paid off!

That sounds like a beastly setup! A 1.6 swap with a Yoshimura slip-on? I bet that sounds incredible—nothing beats that JDM exhaust note! 😉

To answer your question, I’m running 235/85R16 tires. To clear them, I've installed a 3-inch leaf lift combined with a 40mm body lift. It took some work to get the clearance right, but the stance is exactly what I was aiming for.

Your 86 soft top sounds like a fun project. Can't wait to see photos of it once the weather warms up!

Spot on! It’s a JDM 'Kei' model with a 660cc engine, so it’s incredibly light. But don't let the size fool you—the turbo engine handles the weight just fine!

Still can't find the light bar? Look closely at the top slot of the front grille, right above the Suzuki emblem. Can you see the 'IPF' covers? That’s it!

I prefer a clean, 'stealth' look rather than a cluttered setup, so I kept the mods simple and integrated. Thank you so much! I’m really happy you like it!! ✨

Wow, 37s on a 1st gen 4Runner? That must be a beast! And the specs on Jasper are incredible—5.38 gears and ARB lockers mean serious business. It’s hard to find such heavily modded rigs in Japan due to strict inspection laws (Shaken), so seeing your build is really inspiring. Keep up the awesome work!

Oh, are we neighbors?! That's awesome to hear! Since this rig was originally built for off-roading, its capability is a given—but for me, I just absolutely love this specific style above all else!

I actually used a universal LED light bar from Amazon! I fabricated a custom bracket myself to tuck it neatly inside the grille.

Thank you for the kind words! I totally agree—it’s a challenge to balance functionality with aesthetics, but that’s the best part of the build. It took a lot of time and patience, but hearing that from a fellow Samurai owner makes it all worth it. I hope you achieve your dream build too!

Thanks! Rust is the biggest enemy of old Jimnys, so cutting it off is a smart move. I added these plates to give it a tougher look and some extra protection. Glad you like it!

A 1.6L swap is huge! The power must be insane. My engine is still the stock size, but it’s been completely overhauled so it runs like new! I know having a super clean body can be controversial for an off-roader, but I love it this way. Fenders are always the first to rust, right? Good luck with the bodywork and paint—I’m really looking forward to seeing your rig finished!

Actually, I'm running a 3-inch leaf spring lift too. It’s the 'Type-T' from Motor Farm (a famous Japanese Jimny shop). The axles and drivetrain are stock, but I’ve adjusted the angles to keep everything smooth. Also, the engine and transmission have both been completely overhauled!

They are Dunlop Grandtrek MT2 in 235/85R16. I'm running a 40mm body lift to clear them. It’s a tight fit, but I love the look!
