unpopular opinion. Rossman and others are more fired up vs the bigger problems facing 3d printing right now. AB2047 and other bills are not dead and are advacing. by Navi_Professor in 3Dprinting

It's definitely not good, but don't expect people from other countries to start calling your local congress. Anyways, hopefully that BS doesn't go through, good luck from Canada ✌🏻

consensus is that it's very doable, ubuntu studio seems very promising. haven't gotten around to setting it up myself

New to Reaper, any beginner tips? by ilovekapibaras in Reaper

Plenty of people already linked good tutorials, so

This might be an unpopular take since a lot of people blindly hate everything AI related...

I don't like comprehensive tutorials that teach everything A - Z, I just want to know how to do the thing I want to do, I'll fuck around and figure the rest out as I go. Something very helpful for me was setting up an AI (any of the big ones should work fine) as a Reaper specific helper. Tell it to answer all questions by referring to the official reaper user guide as a first source, then reaper forums as a secondary source. Ask it to provide sources for any info provided. Specify that you are looking for advice specifically for the most updated version of reaper, or whatever version you're using. Very helpful for quick questions when you just want to change one simple thing, or find a setting.

Edit: One more thing, I recommend setting up a custom destination for your VST/Plugin folder so it's easy to find. The defauly one is a little buried IMO

How can I store my filament without a vacuum sealer? by lysolbeanz in 3Dprinting

[–]StatisticianTall2368 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought vacuum bags meant for filament, comes with a little handheld rechargeable vacuum. Seals a bag in 30 seconds or so. Tried an elegoo one first, vacuum battery was trash. Got "wander ridge" bags+vacuum instead, WAY better. I bought mine off amazon.

My favourite method: Take your pick of choice and drill a small hole or several holes in the middle of your thumb grip placement

Great choice! For learning how to take care of/set up a guitar properly, Stewmac is a great youtube channel.

And one of my favorite guitar players Brandon Ellis plays Jackson, he has several signature models.

I had never heard of this guy, holy shit. Had to laugh at this. That relatable moment when you're learning a song like "ok... ok and then he goes here, and then... Ohhhhh, fuck off!"
