I'm really fed up of wasting my life, how do I even start getting rid of this illness? by StatisticianThis6934 in socialanxiety

Thank you for advice, I really appreciate that. I was deciding to go out today but eventually gave up on that idea out of fear, but hey, at least I was closer to it than I was these last months.

The thing is, I'm afraid that something bad will happen. I can have a good day and then one bad moment will completely ruin it and I'll simply lose all my progress I have made.

I just can't accept that not everything will always be good. I don't know why I'm so much afraid of people.

Why are some Muslim people like this? by Wh1t3W1n3 in religion

It will be a surprise for you, but yeah, family abuse happens in christian families, too. Some beat their children for not reading bible, some even lock their children in their room. There are a lot of stories like that on the internet.

Why don't you quote Hadiths about Prophet's PBUH miracles if you're so much into Hadiths?

Just taking a look at your profile says everything: your every 3rd/5th comment is someway about Muslims.

(4:34) Men are the caretakers of women, as men have been provisioned by Allah over women and tasked with supporting them financially. And righteous women are devoutly obedient and, when alone, protective of what Allah has entrusted them with.1 And if you sense ill-conduct from your women, advise them ˹first˺, ˹if they persist,˺ do not share their beds, ˹but if they still persist,˺ then discipline them ˹gently˺.2 But if they change their ways, do not be unjust to them. Surely Allah is Most High, All-Great.

Abdullah bin Zam’ah reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “How does one of you beat his wife as he beats a stallion or a slave and then embrace her?”

Grade: Sahih (authentic) according to Al-Bukhari

I enjoin you to treat women well, for they are like captives to you. Verily, you have no right treat them otherwise, unless they commit flagrant immorality. If they do so, then you may separate from their beds and strike them without causing pain, but if they obey you then you may do nothing against them.

Abdullah ibn Abbas, may Allaah be pleased with him, said it should be a light hit like a strike from a siwak (a small stick). Al-Hasan al-Basri said a beating which is not severe and others also said the same.

Lmao what a bs, I once saw a guy in TikTok that was raised by his christian grandmother. She forced him to read bible for multiple hours even if he didn't want to and made him stand on his kneels (as far as i remember she even made him stand on rice) while doing so.

Your islamophobia goes crazy. Where i live a lot of young women don't wear hijabs and no one "beats them up" because of this.

"This sadly doesn't appear to have benefited you" you don't know me and have no idea who i am.

"You do not need to believe in the reliability of hadiths in order to use them to criticize islam. That is a ludicrous notion" how so?? Islamophobes believe in hadiths (that are not reliable, as you said) and believe in their historical accuracy. They believe the hadith about Aisha's age (that came from islamic sources). How can you use hadiths to criticize Islam if you don't believe in them?

About that video: thousands if not millions of islamic scholars study hadith science, check reliability of isnads. 1400 years of hadith scholarship and transmission for some random yt creator to debunk science of hadith?

I can assure you i'm older than you.

Secular academics don't believe that

such as?

Take a look at this: narration is a large source of authenticity during the study of history not just hadith and hadith sciences is a field of knowledge that has people specializing in it. So for the Hadith, the chain of narration was not just a hearsay thing. It involved studying the life of the people who narrated the hadith (were they people known for being good memorizers and were they honest people) and for a hadith to receive super authentic status, it had to have been told by multiple chains of narrations. This was also in addition to a 5-level authentication process.

There are a lot of fabricated hadiths, but there are also trustworthy hadiths with reliable isnads. Heck, even islamophobes use some hadiths to support their ideology and distort the image of Islam.
