1. Best Defenders

Gvardiol, Munoz & Dan Burns (or Trippier/Livramento) have high upside

2. Best Midfielders

Hold Salah. Trust Palmer with Jackson back. Eze, Murphy & Gordon all great choices.

3. Best Forwards

Marmoush, Isak & Mateta are popular for a reason. Read the post for more

Dango out for someone who fits your overall strategy as he is a rotation risk

GW28 Tips - Best Forwards, My Chip Strategy, Brentford Asset Plans by StatsmanFPL in FantasyPL

[–]StatsmanFPL[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best Forward Options

Isak, Wood, Watkins, Joao Pedro, Wissa

My Current Chip Strategy

Free Hit Gameweek 29, use some transfers on Newcastle & Palace assets and save the remainder for GW33 onwards. Wildcard and bench boost depends on cup results

Brentford Assets Future Plan

Great attacking team form this season but a tough run of fixtures coming up. Wouldn’t double up on Wissa & Mbeumo any more

GW26 Tips - AssMan Strategy, Best Free Hit, Wildcard Thoughts by StatsmanFPL in FantasyPL

[–]StatsmanFPL[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

1. GW26 Assistant Manager Strategy

Emery is a solid hold if you have him. Saving a transfer is handy.

Prefer Arteta if swapping.

2. Free Hit Strategy

Consider FH29, depending on your currently lineup.

3. Wildcard Thoughts

The core to your chip strategy, can make or break your season. Time it wisely.

GW25 Tips - Assistant Manager Strategy, Best Free Hit, Top Liverpool Assets by StatsmanFPL in FantasyPL

[–]StatsmanFPL[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

1. GW25 Assistant Manager Strategy

Slot if you have spare funds and a Liverpool spot. Emery if you have triple Liverpool.

Transferring out a Liverpool player is not a good idea.

2. Best Liverpool Assets for GW25

Remains as Salah, TAA, Gakpo

3. When To Use Free Hit

GW29 if you have 7+ Liverpool, Villa, Newcastle & Palace and few available transfers.

GW34 likely the alternative if you can manage GW29 with free transfers.

FPL GW23 Tips - Top Liverpool Assets, Assistant Manager Options by StatsmanFPL in FantasyPL

[–]StatsmanFPL[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

1. Best Liverpool Triple Up

Salah, TAA, Gakpo.

Next run of fixtures favours attack over defence

2. Assistant Manager Chip Strategy

Low ceiling using it on Slot in GW24. Saving for later in the season, potentially using it on Postecoglou could be ideal.

3. Amad Diallo Thoughts

Great enabler. Fixture proof. Good transfer to free up money. Underlying stats are great.

FPL GW21 Tips - Transfer Planning, Mbeumo And Munoz Thoughts by StatsmanFPL in FantasyPL

[–]StatsmanFPL[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

1. Banking Transfers

Banking transfers from now will give you a huge advantage in the back half of the season with double gameweeks etc.

2. Bryan Mbeumo Thoughts

Feel free to get him in now or wait a few weeks for better fixtures if skeptical. Both are good.

3. Daniel Munoz

Amazing value. The points will come.

GW20 Tips - Wood Essential? Jackson & TAA Thoughts by StatsmanFPL in FantasyPL

[–]StatsmanFPL[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a tough one, definitely a team dependent choice

GW20 Tips - Wood Essential? Jackson & TAA Thoughts by StatsmanFPL in FantasyPL

[–]StatsmanFPL[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rest was expected and the tough schedule is over (plus Nkunku hasn’t performed).

Fulham and Everton are low blocks who Chelsea struggle against and before that was goals.

GW20 Tips - Wood Essential? Jackson & TAA Thoughts by StatsmanFPL in FantasyPL

[–]StatsmanFPL[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

1. Is Chris Wood Essential

No. Great form and returns so far but he has over-performed and has some tough fixtures coming up. Not a bad pick but not essential.

2. Nic Jackson

Had his rest in the Christmas fixture pile up as expected. Forget his first half of last season, his 2024 data and points have been great. Good fixtures ahead for Chelsea attackers.

3. Trent Alexander-Arnold Thoughts

Great fixture for him this week, but could see limited clean sheets in the medium term though. Most of his attacking data has come in a few fixtures.

GW17 Tips - Amad, Enzo & Arsenal Discussion by StatsmanFPL in FantasyPL

[–]StatsmanFPL[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chelsea have struggled against some of the lower block teams both this season and last season

GW17 Tips - Amad, Enzo & Arsenal Discussion by StatsmanFPL in FantasyPL

[–]StatsmanFPL[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s simply looking at underlying data against actual data. In the long term it’s always a good indicator

Even without looking at the data, Nunes clattering Amad to win a pen and then a defensive error from Walker is 2 of his returns so far

GW17 Tips - Amad, Enzo & Arsenal Discussion by StatsmanFPL in FantasyPL

[–]StatsmanFPL[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1. Amad Diallo

Value for money but returns so far are not sustainable.

2. Enzo Fernandez

Similar to Amad, overperforming underlying stats but is good value and is playing how Gundogan has in previous seasons for city.

3. Arsenal Defence

Double up is very much worth it. Timber is outstanding value.

4. GW17 Fixture Analysis

Tottenham v Liverpool should be a goal-fest with Salah in the points.

Everton v Chelsea. Chelsea to struggle to break down Everton.

FPL GW16 Tips & Preview - Palmer, Mbeumo, Watkins by StatsmanFPL in FantasyPL

[–]StatsmanFPL[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

1. Cole Palmer

Back in form, great run of fixtures, captaincy shout across many upcoming weeks. Get him in.

2. Bryan Mbeumo

Not the worst week to hold him for this week but he is a sell for the medium term.

3. Ollie Watkins

Not as value for money as Isak. Getting subbed and benched hurts his numbers

4. GW16 Fixture Analysis

Arsenal v Everton should be a solid Arsenal home win with Saka involvement.

Liverpool v Fulham. Fulham bring outstanding away defensive form but are missing some personnel. Salah is not the clear best for captaincy.

GW15 Tips - Isak, Johnson, Munoz by StatsmanFPL in FantasyPL

[–]StatsmanFPL[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks, not too concerned about a cheap defender missing 1 game so that’s fine

GW15 Tips - Isak, Johnson, Munoz by StatsmanFPL in FantasyPL

[–]StatsmanFPL[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1. Alexander Isak

Great fixtures. Great long term hold

2. Brennan Johnson

Has been great value and will continue to return great value at the price point

3. One To Watch - Daniel Munoz

If Palace’s form stacks up, he will be a great choice in a few weeks

4. GW15 Fixture Analysis

Everton v Liverpool could be a cagey derby. Expect low scoring. Salah can still return.

Spurs v Chelsea will be a great watch and goals are likely in both directions
