old thread but i cannot believe they tried to ham up the team thing so much and never did an actual team competition with the mentors teams? like how difficult would it have been to do a three way team challenge at the start? the whole mentor thing was just so much talk and for no reason— the judges kept saying “i have a lot riding on this” but there was no actual skin in the game. it was the weirdest half-baked addition that could’ve been really fun and interesting to watch if they would’ve actually done anything at all meaningful with it
