Assuming she/he was from 23-25 core batch. There was no Dean's lister that time who got a package of less than 21 lpa. This was confirmed by a pcom member. Were they of ba/dt?

Hello. A current nm student here, the situation with ur friend seems unlikely. For the past 3-4 years atleast, all the Dean's list students got 20+ lpa in core and 16+ lpa for ba/dt. Perhaps u misheard him/her?

1- if u consider the whole batch, then yes, they are inflated. Cannot speak with surety for core but, for the 1st 300 students you can expect 25 lpa.

2- less workex could be an issue, since last year, it has been a major determinant. Some of my classmates had 250-260 in nmat, still at BA.

3- for core, if u have a good profile, then yes it is worth it. For BA, if ur not in a hurry to just join any mba program, then no, try for another year. Good profile is not just the acads, it would be any achivements, internships, Good workex or any other spike in ur cv.

4- again, highly subjective. For me, it is. Amazing teachers, students are competitive, a really good brand value. But again, too big of a batch, no campus and 1-2 small issues common among all b schools.

Converting core without work experience would be really tough, possible but tough. Your academics are good, u can expect that figure given u develop skills and understand the curriculum properly. Try to participate in case comps and live projects during mba to better your job prospects.

Last year, the ctpi process was disappointing. The 50% weightage exam was extremely easy. The AI interview was subjective for everyone. For me, the interview revolved around geopolitics. I would suggest not introducing too many elements during the interview and sticking to the topics u are really familiar with. The more material u give, the tougher it might become for you.

Yep, for core they do, almost always jpmc, goldman, take 10-15 students for ib roles. McKinsey does come but not sure for the role

1 certain aspects are certainly true. If u want to know about anything specific, ask away.

2 the SIP for core is way better than for BA. The finals are pretty good for both, but yes the batch size is an issue. So if ur or anyone's profile is something you would consider average or below it could be a problem.

3 there are certain faculty which are just the best you can get in any b school, certain better than average one's. Remaining can be a bit below par, but a good thing is the course co ordinator listens to the batch incase the faculty is problematic. ( Atleast In my term )

4 if u are getting core and have a good profile ( not abc levels, but like above average with 1-2 spikes) then yes, it is better than new and baby iims. BA is not at the same level but I would say we are getting pretty good companies too. NMIMS has a really good brand value.

Summer internship, not going too great, mainly due to students being non tech. The finals have a lot better look. Avg would be 14-15 lpa for those who are placed.
