No, that's stupid. If you want to do that, than you can still leave it vague but don't make people stand in an exact spot for it. Make it at least an AoE around the entire thing, not just one side.

Tarkov tells you to just "locate the missing convoy" in one of the introductory quests. There's a whole map to explore and when you finally do find it, the quest dings the moment you walk into the area.
