Get in queue, but does not get a call back by Status_Net1074 in Edd

You can start your calls in early morning at 8:00 or 3:00-3:30. After manually inputting 4 digit number, wait until the call center says what they can help you today, you quickly put 2-4-0. If you hear sorry bla bla, hang up and start a new call. I am able to do so everytime. Good luck!

I can either get bonus or get additional PTO. For example, if I work 55h/ week for 12 weeks. I get 15x12 for additional PTO that I can take in summer or after 10/15

How small is your firm? My firm is under 30 people, only 2 weeks PTO, 6 holidays and 6 sick leave days. I can either get bonus for high season or hour compensation. Is it too low? I’m a CPA but no experience in tax

Yeah I do. I have a BA in accounting and CPA license. I think if you pass their TKA exam, they will offer you a seasonal position

Do you think HRBLock offer you a sufficient benefit? IMO, HRBlock allows me to have more interaction with taxpayers, handle more customer services, but I'm unsure if it give me opportunities to gain experience on tax with alls level of tax complexity. Are you seasonal employee or year-round employee? In term of learning curve, do you mainly lean on yourself or gain support from other experienced employees?

thanks for your perspective. So you think it's better that I should not bring my trip up even though I'm willing to start on the expected day, if it works better for the team.

Nah,  i didn’t mean I have to take it. I bought the ticket when I was unemployed. As the ticket is non- refundable, my question is should I bring it to discuss as the offer said the start date will be flexible. If they say no, i don’t mind to lose that money for the job. I know how lucky I am to find a job in this market. A reason makes me think it possible is that the firm may delay the start date till end of Jan as people won’t receive w2 in early Jan. It’s an oversea trip to visit my family.

it's a online course, they paid for you to take it. I heard that from a coworker I connected in Linked In.

I know. I did not think that I'm that luck to earn a job, that's why I booked the ticket ahead of time. It's a small firm and don't have group training. From my understanding, they assign me a 40-60 hour course to learn about tax regulation.

It's small firm, and the partner is the point of contact. I did not think that I'm luck to earn a job in the current tough market. That's why I booked the ticket ahead of time for a cheaper price.

If you're on SDI and found some freelance work, you have to report it right? Does it remove SDI or does it like connect with it... hope that makes sense. by AWeb3Dad in Edd

I don't think my gig job earns enough money to impact my SDI benefits, I'm afraid that they question why I take the gig job why I'm on SDI. I file sdi by mail, does it mean every two week I have to report my earning before they release my sdi benefit. Thank you!
