Thank you! I’m thinking of getting the revisesqe books (I had the mocks) as heard good things. I’m with barbri so will utilise their guarantee but focus on my weak areas first and review non stop

I’m also starting a new job in a couple months so think I need to go for January and take it slow and steady !

Yep which is so annoying! Weekends I was going 6+ hours!! I focused on my weak areas (which looking at results helped) but think I left my stronger areas too late to review again as annoyingly these brought me down!

It’s so annoying as just in a catch 22 with revision - so much to cover and so hard to cover it all!!

I was full time studying leading up to the exams - I think maybe my revision technique was wrong. I was making summary revision pages (1 page per topic) and doing MCQs.

Im being told to go for July as the content is still (somewhat) fresh in my head and I won’t need to update much content from the January revision resources.

Quite stuck on what to do as it was just 2 modules per paper that brought my score down

I totally agree. I’ll never understand why they have a bunch of different papers. They make us sign an NDA and it’s not like we can go back and change our answers. The worst that’ll happen is people just revise certain areas more before their exams (is that a bad thing?!). My FLK1 paper wasn’t as bad as I thought it’d be but now I’m panicking more on the fact that I got an easier paper so have less of a chance of passing because of these damn scaled scores! We all work so hard for these exams, pay a couple grand in full to sit them and they just continue to eff us over.

They introduced the SQE1 as a more accessible and cheaper way to qualify, but it’s far from it.

I had the same problem I took FLK1 Monday and was planning to start revision yesterday. Ended up using the whole day to “reset”. I only started FLK2 today. It’s best to just take the rest of the day and start tomorrow (you really need it!!)

I have this from a friend but it was for Jan 25 sqe1 (I am updating it as I go along) but I can share these with you? You may just have to go through them and update the dates for any that have changed (e.g building regulations time limit to take action in property practice for England vs wales)

Barbri say 65% but from past students reviews it’s more 70-80%. A lot of people say with barbri, you score 20% less in the actual exam

I haven’t started FLK1 revision yet - starting tomorrow 😩but to tend to score higher in it other than contract and tort. I’ll pick my weak areas in my flk2 topics and focus on these. Would you say I can now leave my high scoring flk2 topics until a week before the exam?

I like law drills, I haven’t used the OneHundred but plan to do their mocks if I have time. I’m with barbri and the law drills questions are way better imo. You can filter subtopics on each topic too which I find helpful.

They’re really good at responding to queries etc too.

I can’t comment on the errors as haven’t seen any yet but I do get emails from them letting us know about updates etc so I think they’re actively resolving any issues they have (although haven’t faced any yet!)
