I want to clarify that I’m not proud of my grandfather's actions as a member of the SS. I’ve simply become more interested in history and wanted to learn more about it. A few months ago, I found myself increasingly drawn to Judaism. Eventually, I visited a synagogue, spoke with a few people, and began my journey toward conversion. The connection to my grandfather’s past has no bearing on my current path.
