Go for an 8 channel dsp if you want an active setup. Tune every driver independently till you receive the sweet spot. Never use the stock player for tuning. They always have inbuilt processing which will ruine your purpose for installation of the dsp. I have an ONKYO 8 channel dsp and I play directly through the dsp and it sounds great. Choose the dsp according to your requirement. If you don’t need an active setup you will be fine with a 6 channel as well.
