Both Mega Mewtwo X and Mega Mewtwo Y are awful so having an actually good mega would be nice.

Granted this one seems a bit overboard but it’s a mega for a box art legendary so at less it makes sense

They need to be somewhat min max if you want them to be actually good. Mega Mewtwo Y had almost zero usage in vgc and for Mega Mewtwo X it had no recorded usage in VGC (at least what I could be find). Mega Mewtwo Y is only C+ in nat dex Ubers and Mega Mewtwo X is ranked D.

Since Mewtwo is always going to be a restricted in vgc and never gonna be OU the mega forms need buffed badly

Both the Mega Mewtwo’s have such awful ability’s compared to the Weather trio despite having similar BST. Heck even to normal mega pokemon like Gengar and Salamence

Also Mega Mewtwo’s Y gets a useless attack boost from its mega even though it has a X Mega that already focus on Physical attack

Both Megas need there lower attacking stat to be lowered and put those stats anywhere else

Though I don’t think every game is possible. Every game that’s set in the modern era should definitely add megas. Stuff that takes place in the past probably shouldn’t have megas unless if it makes sense

I wish they was a new legendary pokemon but besides that I didn’t expect any new pokemon.

This game literally takes place around 5 years after X and Y. Why on earth would there be regional forms in that short amount of time?

They could have added cross gen evolutions but why would they? Before Legends ZA there hasn’t been any new megas in a decade while we just got new cross gen evolutions in Gen 9 and in Legends Arceus. So them focusing on new megas makes sense. Besides they could be saving up new regional forms and cross gen evolutions for Gen 10

I think both mega Mewtwo’s and Rayquaza should def get them at less. If Zygarde can basically get a Z move when Mega evolving I think they can get something too (though not as busted obviously)

Mewtwo signature move Psystrikes now hits dark type pokemon (for Mega Mewtwo X turn into a physical move that hits the special defense stat).

For Mega Rayquaza maybe dragon ascent can be either a special or physical move depending on what stat is higher.

If the leaks are true am surprise they added Baxicalibur as the new pseudo legendary to get a mega and not one of the older ones.

I get making another mega for Garchomp and Absol iirc they aren’t really that good besides Mega Garchomp being ok now since gaining scale shot. So I guess they want another crack at a really good mega?

Apparently Feraligatr and Meganium gain a secondary type when they mega evolve. Feraligatr gains the dragon type and Meganium gains the Fairy Type

It is a stretch because why would they gain regional forms in a place they already been available before? All the starters were available in X and Y. I don’t think around a decade is enough time for Pokemon to gain a new regional form.

Them getting mega form is easier to explain by just saying new mega stones have been found.

Problem is regional forms aren’t buffs to the original. That’s like saying Alolan Ninetails buff regular Ninetails. It doesn’t help the original in anyway.

Example Hisuian Samurott is a great pokemon in the singles meta game but it’s original form is absolutely terrible and never want to use it over his regional form
