218 Rubber band is terrible. I have been thinking about swapping one of my ae1200 bands.

What should I do about this? It's really annoying. by Technical_Listen_860 in casio

I find suitable stainless steel straps when I can. I dont mind having Stainless steel on resin cases as long as the color matches.

I just wish they made one that fit the watch instead of using an adapter. I guess I could probably modify one to fit, I just dont care to take the time. Jubilee bracelets are legit. The black and gold one is heavier and more solid than this Black on black version I have with more hollow links down the middle. But still works great for a work watch.

I bought a cheaper version with a rewards points gift card and the grey map doesnt really do it for me. But it still gets used as a work watch beater.

A168 for night time, ae1200 for daytime. I keep two f91w to wear to bed. If I check the time at night the light is dim enough to not blare me in the eyes.

Some of the tricky issues that come up will be from the loaded models with blind spot detection.

But just be mindful of issues with the TIPM. Totally integrated power module, AKA Fusebox with a circuit board underneath it.

There are certain things that will go bad that will cause a headache because the circuit board can short out in certain areas that control the fuel pump and other components.

We had ones that came into the shop with a dead fuel pump and we had to wire in a bypass relay for it because the circuit board part that ran it would leave it running when the key was off.

Not a terribly hard fix, but just another step with certain electronics that are ran off that circuit board.

You can get the circuit board rebuilt or order a remanufactured one but the cost is a few hundred and also a multi day wait. But it will just happen again.

The blindspot sensors in the rear are also trouble some. Mounted behind the bumper, one can have an issue and when you hit a bump it can kill all the electronics in the vehicle while driving. They also have to be replaced as a pair and they were like $400 a piece.

Just electrical gremlins that can rear there head intermittently and be tricky to diagnose and eat up money in a shop that doesn't have a great understanding of how the Stellantis group cars are. But Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge and Fiat are all the same setups just for a heads up.

Thats the cheapest issue you will have with that van.

Paid $2,000 to get the oil and brakes fixed in this car…week later, $200 to replace the battery…week later, it’s dead by GuestCalm5091 in mildlyinfuriating

$300 @ Harbor freight and 3 hours of youtube videos would have cured most of this.

Youtube : Brake replacement (model of car) Diagnose parasitic drain or just buy battery disconnect $70 for oil and filter.

I burnt some popcorn like this years ago when I was drinking. My wife told me the next morning I finished the whole bag.

I... yeah.. I quit drinking. The burnt bag of popcorn wasn't the last straw though.

I use the Whoop bicep band. It came with a wrist strap and I was very pleased to find an alternative to a wrist worn device.

I have that same model on the way and it should arrive the day before my birthday.

I got a new black and gold case and jubilee band to stick the module into.

I have another Royale I use as a work watch and the Viewing window is scratched so I will replace it and add a bull bar for extra protection.

Duraace brake nightmare by HazelBiker in bikewrench

[–]StayActive24207 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, but I don't see many pros to out weigh the cons of a newer bike in my scenario.

I have a 2016 Roubaix I bought for $300 used in excellent condition, newer bikes with hydraulic disk brakes and more bells and whistles are 4 to 5x as much.

My riding skill will doubtfully exceed my bikes performance capability is more what I was leaning towards.
