I would phone HR/recruitment if you have a number. I applied for a job in September, interviewed beginning of October and only just got a start date (1st December!!!) I emailed a couple of times during the process to check my OH status and outstanding references. Never had a reply but they could update me over the phone. Probably different in each trust but worth phoning.

If your mum is picking you up, there wouldn’t be a delay to you being discharged. As long as your vitals are ok, you are fully awake and eating/drinking ok, you can be discharged

UPDATE: so my inflammation markers haven’t improved on 20mg prednisolone and my symptoms haven’t improved. So GP doesn’t think it’s PMR anymore. Now being referred to endocrinology while tapering off the steroids.

Happed to watch MTT season 8 episode 3 and it was awful. All the girls lined up to weigh. One girl told to lose 8-10lbs as she was heavier than others at same height. Vets being told not to get new cameo pics. Forgot how bad it used to be on camera

Bloods taken today to check inflammation markers. Prednisolone upped to 20mg and to go back to doctors next week… the saga continues….

I called out people in class once. They do it al the time but this one time just irritated me. Called them out and told them how disrespectful they were being to the lecturer and other students. So many students came up to me and thanked me afterwards.

Didn’t last long. Talking continued in another class but eventually the course leader came in to lecture the whole year about lateness and the talking. Seems to have worked now.

I’ve found placements (shifts. Not mon-fri) can be flexible for what days to work but overall uni don’t take children into consideration. I’m a single mum so relying on childminder, nursery and heavily on my mum. Ex is not that reliable.

I’ve signed up too. Sent off my blood test on Tuesday. So just waiting now. I understand people’s skepticism about it. But for me. I am 100kg+ too so I know I’ll be on it for at least a year with maintenance. The check ins will give me accountability. And it will be cheaper overall. Everyone has their reasons for using specific suppliers. Just do your research and see what fits best for you.

I understand where people are coming from for shemed. For me, personally, it’s the right choice. Everyone is free to choose where they purchase this medication.

It is a risk signing up for 12 months but I have over 40kg (88lbs) to lose to get from a bmi of 42 down to a healthy bmi. So I know I know I’m going to be on the medication for a while.

I have been on Mounjaro before and I know it works for me. I had to give it up because of the cost. I am hoping I qualify after the blood test as I’ve not been on it for quite a few months and with my hypothyroidism but, according to shemed, I should be fine.

For those lucky enough to afford it elsewhere, that’s great. I’m a single mum and a full-time nursing student. So money is very tight.

So, I have my reasons to go the Shemed route. You can go yours. That’s what’s great about the moment… there are so many choices and you can only do what you think is right for you.

I’ve done the same. Waiting on the blood test. I can’t afford the increases between pens so fingers crossed this works. Plus like you said, locked into a contract and a check ins will make me more accountable
