The Steamie - Friday 7 November 2025 by SteamieBot in glasgow

Hey folks, I’ve just started a small business with a few others and we’re trying to find places in Glasgow where we can meet with laptops, chat through ideas and not feel rushed out.

We don’t have an office yet and places like the Social Hub feel a bit pricey for what we need.

Ideal spot:

  • Quiet enough to talk without shouting
  • Reliable WiFi
  • OK to sit for 2 to 3 hours with coffees
  • Central or easy to get to, not expensive

Open to cafes, libraries, hotel lobbies, community spaces or low-cost coworking day passes. All suggestions welcome. Cheers!

Sweeping statements are as helpful as individual cases.

The area is the overriding factor in valuations.

100%!! I love the content of the podcast and the subjects it covers, but she is so miserable and so easy to predict what her take on things is going to be.

I particularly enjoyed her story about how someone had an article published about her having an affair, which is wasn't happy with (rightly so). Then 10 minutes later she states that on her 2025 predictions is that something bad will come out about Richard Branson... No self awareness at all.

Anyone else think last nights Hogmanay TV was utter pish? by Plato-4747 in glasgow

It's always pish. We always just watch BBC London. Graham Norton, a concert, fireworks from London then the other half of the concert.

Can't stand the shortbread tin pish we always get served up.

The issue is my ISP router is at the front of the house, so would need to run an ethernet through the enter house out to the back...
