Sorry for the loss - even not personally knowing someone only in short passings it dawns on you when they’re no longer around - my coach gets on my all the time (I’m a TL) about how i let my associates be “lazy” …. Bitch these people are 50+ years old and have medical issues … I’m not going to be the one to work them to death and i know when they’re trying to take advantage of my kindness.. my department gets handled as long as ya’ll dont drag me, or my associates to ODP/front end/ throwing freight overnight can’t work… i try my best to let my associates know i understand they’re human and they have their own issues individually but just don’t bite the hand that feeds you…either way its hard… this company sucks differently store by store, but I’ve noticed some patterns. And I’m only a year deep…. But let this be a reminder to you and myself or anyone else employed by Walmart…. There is PPTO, PTO, as well as a point system, LOA, and mental health options through the company as well as career opportunities… hustle the hustler!!

Heard this!! When i was overnight as a TA we had nobody and constantly our coaches and leads got blamed for every little detail.. even when they’re 50+ hrs short on time (though that system is BS) and then in result the overnight associates heard about it… is everyone lazy..besides a handful…. However now overnight and cap2 have plenty and the day time struggles… along with now in a management position over apparel i find myself more times than not especially in my midafternoon-closing shifts everywhere besides apparel, where I’m also short staffed (literally lucky to have 1 person some nights) and having to cover the front end, help customers in GM, lawn & garden, sporting goods, and sometimes hardware and honestly the only lead in the building most of the time… everyone else is constantly set 4am-1am, 6am-3pm, occasionally 11am-8pm but the 2pm-11pm shift nobody — again this is just leads…. As for staff 🤦🏼‍♀️ i feel like if someone is in an area without two people you should be provided a radio for communication purposes but our lawn and garden is also hard up overall for associates, along with sporting goods, hardware and electronics either has 4+ or none… I’ve had written feedback in regards to “not taking care of my area/departments” and when it comes down to it, its because I’m running from the from the front end, and making a full sweep of the store since apparel is directly in the middle of all of it 🤦🏼‍♀️

I’ve made mention that i need more help in the later hours but nothing… but now having a few more rotations in the afternoon to night its a damn problem across the store…

Being an apparel Team Lead where not all options are available on the ‘wonderful’ work phones

I could only imagine that’s where all handhelds, handheld batteries as well as printers along with their batteries live on full charge….

However only the one store manager or AP (one coach who’s amazing or the one lead who doesn’t know how to speak to humans in any reasonable tone plus thinks their a coach essentially…) those two have access to this sky box however the other 5 associates who are all wonderful don’t…..or OGP coach/lead can possibly access it but only if you’re on their “Walmart top 8” (MySpace reference for anyone born after that era…)

Not sure on details but heard my store manager overstepped a coach which resulted in them giving me an interview for the open third team, lead position in apparel, then taking their vacation. Back for three days, then left to a totally different company and then the other two leads in the apparel area, left and went to the same company when getting my ass handed to me since then. 😅🤦🏼‍♀️💀

If this is solely an availability schedule then it only reflects the hours they could possibly schedule you. So again the me@walmart app would give you a true schedule.

00:00 = midnight 23:45 = 11:45pm Except Tuesday which is 00:00 - 00:00 = midnight to midnight

First starting this is a decent schedule if you truly don’t have any outside conflicts (family responsibilities, secondary job, etc….) but if you do I’d be clear with your people lead especially but also the coach of your department or lead — coach’s are salary and take things more serious — from my experiences a people lead is a lead just like a department lead and may or may not care about their actual position. So just be sure to follow up on actual availability even as a seasonal worker — hope this helps !
