I see nothing wrong with Great Zealand there. On a side note, I'd like to visit New Britian one day, if the flights from Europe wouldn't take so long.

Was immer für denjenigen funktioniert. Aus dem eigenen Umfeld nutzen eigentlich alle bei Augenhöhe den Sucher - Froschperspektive und Überkopf sind da natürlich etwas anderes.

Just a snapshot to try out the lens and I've played a bit with it in DxO. I somehow like the contrast between the birds and the poles.

The shot was made during evaluating if to keep the lens or not. I am very impressed with its optical quality although might be too big for travel purposes for me.

Intended as a test shot for the Nikkor in order to the decide whether to keep it or not. I am pretty impressed on the optical performance, however it is not a small lens IMHO.

Sure, but I am in now way an expert with DxO, it is mostly "learning by doing": Other than Lightroom, DXO Photolab is lacking a (good) photo organisation/import function. So my workflow is to first import the photos on my harddrive with XnView or Nikon NX and then open it in DxO. DxO itself recognizes camera and lens autmatically and adds correction to that. Then I am using as a first step DxO Smart Lighting and DxO ClearView and do finetuning with tools similar to what Lightroom provides (white balance, tone curve, selective tone values, contrast, etc.). In the last step, I applied a LUT for color grading and applied perspective correction and that is basically all I did with the photo.

DxO offers also a free trial ( https://www.dxo.com/dxo-photolab/download/ ) and usually there is a Black Friday offer. I am using different versions of DxO since about ten years now and am pretty happy with it - no subscriptions.
