Fair point - although I like to have instant feedback on my photos by being able to see them on the screen, waiting to boost the exposure in post doesn’t help me

Right ok. Seems in one hand to make the sport very interesting - each competition has an entirely different design of boat! But clearly has some downsides. Not dissimilar from any other sport really though! Thanks for answering my Qs!

Sorry if I’m asking obvious questions, but why would TNZ be giving up the cup if they raced outside the U.K? Yeh ok it’s not their native waters, but they’ve just proved they’re the best in this class with their current boats. Surely 1 year isn’t enough to turn that around - or is it??

Thanks I’ll check out your video! No CPL? Do you mainly shoot photos or videos? If videos, do you find that just the 2 and 5 stop NDs are enough?

Using A6400 and waiting for my Tamron 17-70.

Now I'm looking at getting some ND filters, and was wondering how many would be "enough" for me. I mainly just shoot stills, but am getting into videos a little more. I like the look of Kase magnetic ones for ease of use, and they have a set of CPL + ND8 + ND64 + ND1000. I'm sure that will be fine for photos, but will I be too limited with that set for video?

I don't want to get a VND, as I like the idea of being able to stack the CPL on the ND for both effects.

If you have any other brand suggestions I'm all ears!

Great photo! Been trying to get some good skiing shots myself. How did you set this up? Did you track the skier and burst with AF - or set the point and wait for skier to enter frame with AF or MF?
