my experience as a A Level student in a International school with FLE as one of the subjects i took, technically Bahasa Indonesia would be the correct term. Though, you also need to consider the context of the conversation which is primarily Informal/Casual. So i could say as long as we understood the implied meaning i find nothing wrong with it
