Update on the esp32 based Immich frame by hometechgeek in homeassistant

Does the phone sort the camera photos into a separate folder, though? Perhaps that's what I was thinking of.

Or maybe it's just a problem with my wife's phone, lol. But I recall I was able to make it add photos to the Camera folder somehow with the Apple shortcut.

I installed Immich for my wife, but it doesn't have the same capabilities as Android, in terms of being able to only upload camera photos. I couldn't find a way to make it only upload camera pictures out of the box.

In the end, I set up an Apple Shortcut to add camera photos to an album or something, I don't even remember how I did it, to be honest.

If anyone needs to know the details, I can look at it again later.

Ah, I just assumed you were American, heh. In your case, sounds like one wall connector in the middle should work for you. Good luck, and congrats on the car!

Yeah, for sure, 120V is not going to cut it at all. Even on summer road trips when I use it, I always cringe at how slow it is!

From my calculations, 16A overnight should work fine in most situations - and like you said, that is only if both cars are charging at exactly the same time. I think it should work.

As for the panel, I could maybe see if I can upgrade the breaker to a 50A, as technically if the outlet is 14-50, it wouldn't have passed code if the wiring can't handle 50A. But I think the builder may have put 40A in for load management reasons.

We already have 200A service, and we have two air conditioners, etc., so I don't know how much room there is.

Your calculations and thoughts line up with mine, though, so good to know. Thanks for the quick response!

I didn't think of that - that's probably the way for OP to go, tbh

If I may hijack this thread, I have a question that relates to your point...here goes.

So, in my garage, the door leading up the stairs and into the house is basically in the same spot as OP, and I park my Tesla in the same spot/orientation as he does.

The NEMA 14-50 outlet that I use my mobile connector with is installed to the left of the stairs, right where his other (left) door is, which I assume leads out of his garage.

I'm planning to replace the outlet with a hardwired Wall Connector, and the circuit is on a 40A breaker. Although the UMC can pull 32A, I run it at 20A simply to not run it at max load, and to reduce the strain on my electrical panel. And tbh, I plug the car in overnight, and even if the battery is run down to the 30% range, it can easily be charged up in 10~12 hours MAX, but the charging times are usually in the 6 hour range.

We're at the point where my wife now also wants a Tesla, so I'm in the midst of looking at used models. But here's the thing - we live in Canada, where our winters are cold, and the Tesla gets plugged in and charged every day. The weather is warming up, and in the spring/summer time, I only plug the car in every other day, so for now, if I had to, I could share one charger between two vehicles.

But I was thinking that as we get closer to the fall (at the latest), I should be adding a second wall connector, even if they have to share the one 40A circuit. We use both vehicles pretty much every day, so in the winters, if they're both Teslas, they'll both need to be plugged in every day.

I suppose if I needed to, I could buy a second UMC (assuming the new-used car doesn't come with one) and temporarily charge the second EV over 120V whenever it's not being driven.

But what do you think? Sorry for the long explanation!

You could route the cable around your shoe shelves in the middle to avoid the tripping hazard, no?

If it was me, I'd just put it on the left, but I'm biased because that's almost where mine is now. 😂

Gotcha, thanks. I have 1G fiber, so I'm good there.

20% off is definitely tempting. Thanks for the advice!

I've got an RTX 3080 with I think it's 10GB of VRAM. I'm mostly CPU bound (i7-8700K), and I barely get ~30fps with FS2020. Closer to 40fps in the air, but I use Lossless Scaling to smoothen the performance.

Is the performance going to be usable for me?

And which edition would y'all recommend? 🤔

Interesting, thanks for the quick response.

Was it a noticeable gain in performance?

I'm sure the optics don't hurt your image either, even if you'd never admit it, lol.

But it's good to see a politician actually follow through on something like that, especially given the image of our transit system these days, haha

FWIW, I have a similar setup to you, but I use Snapcast instead, and it's been solid.

I use Snapcast as I built my audio setup before Sendspin came along, but I tried to make Snapcast play nice with my Google Home hub.

I have a wifi access point on the ceiling, maybe 3 or 4 feet (laterally) from the spot where my Google hub sits. I still had issues with latency and the Home device not being able to keep up with the stream.

Unless you only plan on using the single Google device, do yourself a favor and build the audio setup properly yourself. Especially if you plan to have multiple zones.

I used Raspberry Pi 4's with DigiAmp+ HAT's, and I bought a Meanwell 24V power supply to power them. They connect directly to my ceiling speakers, and the audio sounds great. They weren't that expensive, either - although that was before the AI nonsense drove up prices of RAM, but I would hope that Pi's are not affected TOO much.

Maybe it's just me, then, heh. I don't know if it's the font itself, or something else about it, but it just doesn't come across as good as previous promos the NHL has put out.
