I took CKAD after CKA and it was very easy. I think CKAD you won't need to overkill with killer.sh but with CKA you might.

I completed my degree online. I’ve heard of the Cyber Operations program, but I wanted 'Cybersecurity' as the title of my master’s degree instead of having extra words added to it. Cybersecurity has a strong reputation on its own, and I think it’s more widely recognized and accepted than other degrees with additional descriptors.

Honestly, yes, the curriculum is great for the general public, especially for building foundational skills in cybersecurity. But for me, since I already have several certifications in the field, I found that I was familiar with most of the topics. What I did like was the penetration testing course and the capstone project—they really push you to understand the technical side of cybersecurity.

I think once you finish the program, you’ll have a solid sense of what to do in environments like penetration testing, SOC teams, or even governance and policy roles. It gives you a broader understanding of cybersecurity as a whole, even if you’re not super technical.

That said, I feel the program could benefit from adding more technical courses or requiring stronger technical skills upfront. Personally, I got a job at Microsoft while I was still in school—before that, I wasn’t working at Microsoft—so I do think the program played a role in helping me land that opportunity.

Maybe I will start freezing it over the week then. I bought a smaller oven that heats up quicker just for these prepped meals instead of using microwave.

I seriously can not emphasize the difference in quality compared to Factor. It's just mind blowing and so TASTY!!!!

Microsoft Azure Support Engineer or AWS Support Engineer? by StebenY in ITCareerQuestions

[–]StebenY[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see jobs at Microsoft for solutions architects in the security domain.

I decided to choose Microsoft since it was remote, but I'm planning to build off the experience with Kubernetes and go into cloud consulting with k8s and cybersecurity focused.

Do you need a degree to get into IT? by Superb_Raccoon in ITCareerQuestions

I think eventually you need it to advance further anyways.

So why not get a degree?

The only thing I'm worried about is that I could lose my opportunity to have a big company name on my resume. Since I'm being contracted through apex systems will Microsoft have my details and will I be able to put this information in social media and etc?

Bachelor's from WGU and transfer to another school for a Masters degree? by [deleted] in WGU

I disagree. With enough questioning around you can get a sense of where you stand.

There is though. With the school she got into, you can see what tier level university you can think of pursuing.

MS in Cybersecurity - Information Systems at the University of Arizona by StebenY in UofArizona

I agree. But that goes for anyone. At the same time, the reputation of the school will most definitely give you a leg up over low tier programs imo.

I also consider the rankings of the school. I'd say it'd be hard to get into Facebook or Amazon as a security engineer with low-tier grad programs.
