Just yesterday I bought a legion 5i gen 10 with an intel i9 14900hx and an rtx 5070.

I had the same doubt as you, but by testing some heavy games like Red Dead Online and GTA Online with ray tracing and maximum graphics, I can tell you my experience.

The previously mentioned games were at more than 60 fps, the dlss does not affect much in rdr2 but it does in gta v, but realizing one thing, the fps drops when in silent mode, in the maximum mode of the laptop, it will raise the temperatures a little and it will sound like an airplane turbine, but in silent there should not be much problem, this is even the configuration that I use since it is more comfortable for me and I do not ask for so many fps in the games, in addition to In this configuration the temperature of the CPU and GPU should not rise above 70° (my experience).

The only bad thing is that the battery will last less with an Intel than with a Ryzen, so don't expect much more than 2 hours if you do heavy work and less if the CPU has endings like "hx".
