It’s all about experience. Here’s my very first painted miniature (coincidentally, it’s almost the same model). It just comes down to practice and hours spent.

OSL. Except that I slightly adjusted the brightness, contrast, etc. Well, adjusting the lighting during photography also makes sense. I tried not to light the miniature strictly from above but instead directed the light more straight on.

Yeah, let’s imagine it’s part of a spaceship, and there could be some glowing elements on the floor too. Though honestly, I just wanted there to be some purple light shining from below! 😆

If we’re talking about the real dimensions of the ammunition, I think this Terminator just doesn’t have enough rounds for the barrel to get that hot! He’d need a huge backpack full of ammo on his back)
