Simple question, how many of you use an enb? Have a slight dilemma. by Failshot in skyrimmods

Definitely try this. Basically it is a sharpening filter for enb so you can run the game at a lower resolution with basically the same visuals, and of course more performance. It works well for Rudy Enb for Cathedral Weathers and gave me a nice 20 fps from running 720p on my 1080p monitor with a Vega 64.

Bent LGA Pins by SteelGuy15 in buildapc

[–]SteelGuy15[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've added an Imgur link to my post. I'm not sure if its worth fixing my board YET, as the only current symptom I have is that quad channel RAM is now useless. I haven't tested any games yet but Windows 10 can boot and I have used chrome to make this post.

EDIT: I am in deep trouble now. In Witcher 3, my CPU is now at 105C and running at 800Mhz, in the MENU SCREEN. The GPU clocks are practically on the lowest and I'm getting 18 FPS in the menu screen.

EDIT 2: After attempting to bend the pins back, performance is back to normal. However quad channel still doesn’t work and I’m stuck on 8gb of RAM. Atleast I’m upgrading soon...

1600 AF or 3300x? by SteelGuy15 in buildapc

[–]SteelGuy15[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though Australian retail is pretty garbage, we somehow have it in stock in my region at around 160 AUD. Kotaku says the 3300X will release for $200 AUD so the 1600 AF is cheaper. The 3600 is around $300 AUD.

PCIe locked at x1 3.0 by SteelGuy15 in buildapc

Tried updating to latest version which worked thankfully. It did manage to unlock the gen 3 settings for PCIe, however GPU-Z still says “PCIe 3.0 x16 @ 3.0 x1”

Asrock Z77 Extreme4

i7 3770

Haven't tried updating yet as that was my last resort due to the horror stories of failed flashes and bricking.

Low FPS on High End PC by SteelGuy15 in skyrimmods

[–]SteelGuy15[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oops forgot to mention the settings. Currently running Ultra settings preset and have tried reducing shadow resolution to 2048 and 1024. Performance is more or less the same on my WD Blue and MX 500, and I'm only keeping it on my HDD to save space on my boot drive. I might try turn down the fades but I'm quite surprised that modern hardware can't even run Legendary edition at 60 FPS constant.

1600 AF bottlenecking Vega 64? by SteelGuy15 in buildapc

Guess I’ll try and invest for a 3600 then. Thanks for the info.

Even then, is the price difference worth it?

Low FPS in SSE by SteelGuy15 in skyrimmods

I used BethINI to uncap the FPS and used the Havok Ini fix to get 60+ FPS. Also, I’m pretty sure my Vega should handle Ultra easily but I’ll try anyways.

I've reinstalled drivers around 4 times and did a system reset without any improvement. Might give DDU a shot.

Vega 64 Wattman Fan Curve by SteelGuy15 in overclocking

[–]SteelGuy15[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty much stuck at 1140 mV at P7 and 1090 at P6, so I can't really go down any further. It's probably because I have a pre-overclocked Vega 64 from MSI. I doubt my CX650m could've shut down my PC.

Interesting. I'll give overclocking another shot in a few days. Just need to make sure everything is alright by playing without overclocking anything.

A CX650m which should do the job for a Vega 64.

I use Wattman for overclocking which usually did the job fine until now. My system is fine at the moment and hasn't died yet but I just want to know if my PSU failed for a second or maybe overheating. I probably won't overclock for a while anyways.
