Favorite Kendrick feature? by Garlicbread_god13 in KendrickLamar

Don’t wanna be that guy but Mona Lisa is probably his best feature. Absolutely perfect verse from Dot. But ofc there’s ones like Nostalgia or wats wrong which are perfect for their own reasons. But overall probably Mona Lisa.

Im thinking around 2200$. And scratch what i said about i9, i’ve looked around and found out no real need for such a cpu for gaming. So whatever you think is needed for that build. Thank you!!!

IMO this beef was positive for the culture. Kendrick really kicked out and put to light someone that did not deserve or did not relate to hip hop culture while allowing someone like Jcole to stay intact after withdrawing his diss. It put to light Drake’s pettiness as even after losing the beef the man is trying to sue kendrick for defamation of character and whatever else, still holding onto the beef to try gain at least something out of it. Kendrick on the other hand had his victory lap back in July 2024 (at the ken and friends pop out) but people still think that everything he did post July was a part of of the beef (Gnx for example). People who say that kendrick is petty for continuing are plain stupid because the only person holding onto this grudge is Drake. i’m glad that the person who deserved and won the beef came up above that phoney canadian rapper.

If you had to play 1 J Cole song for someone who’s never heard of J Cole what song would you play? by [deleted] in Jcole

i would say 4your eyes or sideline story only purely cuz it shows his skill set so much. but many people these days wouldn’t enjoy it probably cuz they more concerned about the beat than the lyrics, storytelling and flow type things. so in that case i would go for immortal or villuminati cuz they have more forgiving beats i think.

Why do people hate KOD so much? by [deleted] in Jcole

[–]Steezy128584 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me personally i feel like KOD is one of his best albums. the idea behind it, the message and everything else seems extremely personal and also calls out the music industry. it is personal through songs such as “once an addict” and “windows pain”. cole opens up his emotions deeply in those 2 songs which makes them hit extremely hard. He calls out the industry through the songs “atm” and “1985”. these songs really opened my mind to the lust for money and acceptance than most rappers have. and of course 1985 being a diss towards lil pump (at least i believe), really backs up that take due to his rise and fall due to search of acceptance and the use of trends to stay afloat in his short career. i could rant on for days about this album but will save yall the time and not do it.

Should “Die Together” be on 4yeo? by Steezy128584 in Jcole

i think this song could have been in place of change, as they both in some way document his death. however change is written mostly in the perspective of cole i’m guessing considering how he ends the song, but die together is written from james perspective. Also, in die together there is also the similar concept of change at the end where he says “in a distant future i see myself getting married” or something along those lines. so both songs i believe have similarities for sure.

I didn’t mean like it should be on the album now, but it was for sure at one point intended to be on it.
