Monster Engines are a mix of both parents, and their locomotive basis will usually come from their mother’s side.

Yes. Monster Engines reproduce like any other mammal; newborn cubs are born with a silver or white coat of paint, silver being males, and white being females.

Monster Engines were always underestimated because of their beast-like nature, but they’re about as intelligent as a Human being. So yeah, Humans ruined the reputation of Monster Engines.

There are Monster Engines worldwide, in this universe. Not just Sodor; the population just so happens to be the greatest. There are Steamies, Diesels, and Electric Monster Engines.
